33 and rain and hoping for something is the worst feeling.

We're more hoping for NOT something... cold rain would be far better than ice.

So far I'm not seeing ice anywhere outside but there are still a few hours to go...

29.5/29.3 here in Dahlonega Ga which was supposed to be one of the hardest hit cities.  about a quarter to half inch of sleet on the ground, no ice in the trees.  Power still on.  So far have dodged a huge bullet, but probably not out of the woods yet.

I'm staying up until It gets above freezing.  Currently 28.3.

I am staying up as well. Been up 24 hours at least but the wedge is stubborn and more precip is headed this way. It is 24 degrees here with ZR and a little ip.

Sleet (which wasn't on any of the models for this area) saved us and probably a lot of Metro Atl early this morning, now the question is will the squall line turn into freezing rain later today NE of Atl.  Hopefully rates will be such there won't be much accretion.

Stay home if you can. No bare pavement or plow trucks as far as the eye can see. I could barely walk my dog in the snow/sleet combo. I can say for the first time in 20 years of living here that route 40 has been covered for a longer period of time than usual. A nice mix of snow and sleet is falling now with 3 inches total so far.  First photo my driveway and the second and third are route 40 east and west.

Maybe 1/2” sleet. Very little ZR. Precip looks limited at best. RAH expects everyone to get above freezing in central NC and last batch and most remaining QPF to be all rain. Thinking ice storm cancel? NAM appears to have kicked butt. Roads are awful, sleet ice mix stuck to everything. It’s 21 so I’m not surprised
