Dusting of snow near Crossville and has been snowing steady for an hour or two. I notice TDot must've added cameras at 304mm (near Monterey on Putnam/Cumberland line) and 333mm (near Crab Orchard) recently, which is helpful for travel conditions on the plateau.

There are a lot of hefty returns in middle TN, but they are not at present making it over the plateau into the valley.  I think that should change shortly.

I've been getting little waves of light snow all morning. It'll snow for a while then taper off, then pick back up. 

I think it has been struggling to reach the surface even up here in SE Morgan county

Currently sitting at Papermill Road Knoxville and temp has gotten up to 35°. The snow flurries have seemed to tapered away for now.

Finally getting bigger flakes! Some quarters, first time had only been graupel and tiny flakes until now. Awesome, I thought I might not see larger flakes with this storm.

I was about to ask if this shot moving through was bringing you a good hit.  I think it is the front edge of those better returns.  The Warm Nose is on its heels however.

Chattanooga is all freezing rain. Light at the moment - mercifully. No more sleet. Radar above confirms it's all rain aloft. QPF is going to be all ice until sometime this evening. Temps are way under forecast and cooler models keep it below freezing until later in the evening.

Finely got some really good returns coming across the plateau hopfully once they get into the valley we can start getting some real snow.  @ShawnEastTNlet us know when you start picking these returns up.

The snow has been picking up here. Not sure how much longer it will last, but probably more than I expected to get for the whole event just because it hasn't switched over to sleet/frz yet. 23 degrees, slowly climbing.
