I can't believe it has been 30 years!  I remember the whole day and night so clearly

Dang y'all old :P I was just 5 years old so I don't remember the whole picture but nevertheless it was my first snow memory! I remember my mom trying to teach me how to do snow angels, and telling me at first that the snow was too deep for me and it would be up to my chin (accurate, lol), and I remember being home from school. I'm so glad that's my first my memory of snow...it was awesome!

Or a Dan Campbell clone who cost his team at least 3 games this year... By going for it on 4th down 70% of the time - bypassing so many 3 pointers then ultimately loosing close games..

Would love to have Harbaugh on the Jets , would bring some fan passion back to that garbage franchise... But alas its not meant to be....

The stats say go for it though, and that 99.9% of NFL coaches are too conservative in that regard. It's just frustrating when I see the numbers so clear, to have these big guys with tens of millions watching make the wrong call over and over.

The one variable where coaches are too aggressive on is the 2-point attempt. It only works 31% of the time. So anything less than 50% is no unless it's a really special circumstance.

But 15 seconds left with a timeout to spare.. the offense is moving the ball so well... you really are going to make a rookie kicker, who's longest FG all year is 52yds, on the road in Pittsburgh, so loud, kick a 40+ yd FG when he leads the league in erratic kickoffs, going out of bounds? You shouldn't say put it all on one play, but that call definitely costed Harbaugh his job.

yeah - I was in Staunton - our neighborhood was a little bit higher than the center of town.  We got around 33" or so.  Missed school that whole week.  So many snow forts and tunnels...

Yep, same here...out of school the whole week and literally remember the huge piles of snow everywhere that we turned into forts and caves.  My friends and I hid behind one of them and threw snowballs at cars driving on the side street...oops.

I was in Fredericksburg for this.  My biggest memory is when we flipped to sleet and had to build mounds to hide behind because of the wind blown sleet hitting our faces.

What a choice for a football team name. I mean, I realized the name Redskins is eminently offensive and it really needed to be dropped, but Commanders?

It’s funny because the name is somewhat original and makes sense from a DC point of view, but the brand appeal just isn’t there. Similar issue the Wizards have faced.

The reality is the Ravens will hire the coach Lamar wants.

Seems a big part of why Harbaugh was fired is because Lamar didn't want Monken as the OC, which I 100 percent understand, but Harbaugh wanted to keep him. Harbaugh probably "lost the locker room" largely because he let Monken do the stupid shit he did- like refuse to run the ball in the AFC championship game against KC who had a suspect run defense(Ravens were the best running team in the league), and leaving Henry to rot on the bench in the 4th quarter of the NE game a couple weeks ago when the Ravens had an 11 point lead, with a defense that is famous for blowing 4th quarter leads under Harbaugh. Run the fucking ball and eat clock in that situation and you keep the crappy D off the field and you win the game.

Because you act like a baby and it causes others to join. The shtick of cancelling winter every other fucking model run daily gets old. Its drags the place down. When it’s ready to snow it will snow. Nothing you can do about it. You’d think you’d learn that but yet every year, every winter you fuck threads up with your tantrums over what a 10+ day model shows

Holy crap!!!  Damn  .. don't get any more direct than that!!

some consistent winning would probably help some.  Guess we'll see since they let DQ clean house a bit (we'll see if he's actually the issue lol).

Just saw this and you’ve got to be kidding me. You think me canceling winter actually cancels winter lol? You think people are affected by this and are let down and leave the board lol. I don’t have that kind of sway sir

When the pattern is right I’ll be the most optimistic person on the board but if what I say about weather on a weather board bothers you…then you probably shouldn’t be in here

Who else besides Weather nerds like us will listen to our venting

H2O already answered, but to piggyback... and I say this as brotherly correction and not to be mean:
I'm gonna reiterate what someone told me: This forum is not all about you. It ain't the Ji show. Yes I get wanting to vent but you need to consider the other people reading the thread. Posting every negative thought you have is not helpful in the slightest. It brings the entire thread down and contributes to the reason good posters have run away from this forum. Put a limit on yourself...if ya posted a couple negatives maybe lay off for awhile. If you stop putting out negative energy you'll get less of a negative response.
I hope you listen, my brother. Not telling ya anything I'm not trying to work on myself.

If I need to vent about snow chances where else am I going to do it? On the redskins forum? Oh a music forum. If I can’t complain about the pattern here..why do we have a weather forum?

I think Ted leonsis can’t stomach rebuilding and empty seats so he ordered a superstar and took a shortcut to derail the rebuild

that's some Snyder-esque bullshit - not really surprised if that ends up being his rationale

I'll start off by saying I get it. This is the only place where 95% of the people share our snow-loving insanity, and the only people who understand the emotions behind it. The temptation is to voice every scream of the weenie soul. And venting sometimes is fine. BUT...I think the problem is how much you vent. It's one thing to be frustrated and stuff on here as we all get and we all vent sometimes...but it's when every post becomes that and every negative thought is voiced that it can be really difficult to read through. If the vent becomes a complain marathon, it's probably better to hold back some of it, imo You won't burst I promise, lol

Personally I start to hold back if I feel myself kinda going off the path. There are other ways to handle snow frustrations than putting every last frustration on everybody else.
