Well I definitely blew that one but in a good way. I ended up chasing that first supercell from the VA line to Carrboro. It has some pretty awesome structure at times and definitely incredible rising motion with the updraft, intense lightning, and visible circulation.

The low so far today at KSAV is 82! Will they get convection and/or outflow from nearby convection to get below that by this evening? Not likely but possible. If not, the 82 would tie a record high low.

Brutal! Hoping we are getting past that here. Last year we never hit 90 in August, would love a repeat

Yep, no go here. Can’t even get a cumulus cloud to pop. Just feels stable out. That area in SW NC might be in the game though

I’ll take this back, I was wrong. That supercell that pushed from VA through here to the coast was legit

The unstable air advected Eastward and the cap was broken. Don't see that too often around here, much more common in the plains

What gets me is how that entire complex was moving SE for hundreds of miles, aimed right at southern Wake co...at the last minute...it started moving due east. Lol...not a drop of rain. Not really complaining though. We have had a ton of rain the last two weeks. Just up set because I missed out on lastnights fun!
