wow.  That starts the day off well for forecasters....boy I do not envy them right now (well the ones who are tryin to do it right and not be arrogant and rant - thinkin DT types....dude is eatin lotsa egg off face as of right now).  Waiting for his backpedal post when nooners come out.

Low of 34 with .71” of rain and one hell of a swampy backyard.  I’m off today so I plan on being pretty dialed in for the 12z runs. The kids may have something to say about that but that’s the plan ha.

storm 2 days out and the US GFS continues to have an epic storm in places where the euro has next to nothing I have no changes on my idea of 6-12 locally 18 DC to Boston, which almost seems like a mid-ground. This model battle should be something GVT officials are looking at. If GFS misses, what good is it? Why spend the money it took to develop this model if it consistently is least accurate vs the major models, though it beats up on the Navy NoGaps and CFSV2 , which is like beating up on a division 2 school if you are Division 1

as stated earlier, NAM early into storm range often seems lost for a run or 2.  Not surprised at all.  Not saying it is final solution, but its just the NAM doin its NAM thingy

I was going to say a bit more of a hybrid.  Certainly not a traditional Miller B in the way that we think of it around these parts but you may be right technically.  I'm not entirely clear on the exact criteria for categorizing such things.

its sorta a hybrid B IMO.  has primary that pops secondary, but its obviously well SE of typical primary up Apps to coastal.

We typically think of the Miller Bs that ride up into the OV then transfer to Delmarva.  Those often screw us.  So when someone says Miller B, those are the memories we hang on to.

However, even January, 1996 was a miller B.  More of a hybrid Miller B.
