Kudos to your son for the long shift. Been there, done that. I had just gotten out of the Army prior to the 2016 blizzard. First time every doing snow. Last thing they told me was keep it clear. 3 days later I was asked when the last time I had gone home was. The look on the guys face when I told him, “ about 3 days ago” , was one you might expect to get if you had a unicorn horn sprouted from your forehead region. Long story short, I told him I do what I am told until told otherwise and explained my service background. He was bewildered, yet in awe. Nice paycheck, though lol. About that 20-22 hour mark, you start to question yourself and how got to where you are. Next thing you know, you wake up and have to move more snow! Love it! Those days are over for me. Did 12 Sunday , 8 today and hopefully I can wrap up my cleanup by lunch tomorrow. If I don’t get the loader stuck again haha. I did manage to get out by sheer luck. I was about 2 minutes from grabbing my office manager and a tow strap. Experience hehe

Thanks for doing what you do.  Peeps love to bitch at them for what they dont/didnt do, but seeing it first hand w/ my son and his best friend, puts a notably different perspective on what they do during notable events.  He said right around midnight he got ut of wheel loader and stuck his head in the snow to stay awake.  
Like you I hope we pad stats this weekend.  Hoping it ticks west today or tomorrow.  Based on setup looks like it has a reasonable chance.  Will start back into trackin mode today.

hits the cold brick wall.  I think it reasonable that it could sit n spin as it does.  thatd be a way to get meaninful qpf back this way.  If we remember the trends of the last event, anyone sayin its over, should be stripped to undies n thrown into a snow drift.

Low of 10.  These next few nights will be the peak of pipe-bursting season, keep warm everyone!  Looking forward to seeing if this coastal can't get wrangled in a bit more.  Probably not "our" storm but also think the possibility is there for improvements.  I would have no issues with getting a few inches of fluff on the western flank if that's what it came to.  Keen eyes will be monitoring.

you and I are similar in thought.  With this setup, a little more tucked would go a long way (thinking wester) in qpf.  Based on overnighters its not unreasonable. 6z GFS ticked west off Va coast as did qpf.  couple more moves like that and we back into something. 

at 114 Icon notably west of 0z

6z euro at 123 is stalled off carolina coast, and trough going notably neg.  Thats a good sign as itll give this big dog a chance to come up and not out.  

I'm in a good mood, so I'm only posting positive trends (as they are things I look for when sniffing fr storms.  Yall can share the negatives :D

Plenty of single digit lows this morning with our lowest as is often the case in Warwick Township with a low of 3.8 above zero. Several degrees colder both today and Wednesday with highs in the upper teens with low temperatures in the colder valley locations near or below zero. Even colder air arrives on Thursday and Friday with widespread below zero readings and highs in the low to mid-teens. There will be a coastal low this weekend, but most model guidance keeps the impacts well east of the Philly burbs with snow possible toward the NJ shore points. That said there is still a possibility it will trend a bit closer to the coast and gives us some additional snow. Stay warm!

ok, i'll point out one negative.  Euro at 114  shows another piece of energy SE of it and next few panels it pops a secondary way east.  Others also need to resolve the primary and where it pops off coast.  Me thinks this is why it shows east progression, and while Im not calling that bunk, I am raising the skeptical flag.  Euro needs to sort that out before we really can use it for a viable solution. That energy tugs this bomb (primary) east.

Well what he did last night was declare Jihad on the Weenie SM pages, which I don't necessarily disagree with, but you can't just go scorched earth on the internet NOW, some decade and a half into Internet weathery being a thing.

Seems like this is what we'd want. Just slight ticks west each run. It might work out that it'll be in the sweet spot by game time.

I know from past experience that I don't want to be in the bullseye at this point in time.
