Hurricane Agnes
I apparently ended up with a white rain yesterday because usually events like that might have the initial burst sticking to the cars and grass and mulch but didn't even have that - all of that was mostly wet so it would just melt right in. Ended up with a high of 40 yesterday after a 33 low, 0.07" for the event, & 3.08" of total precip. for the month of November. Currently 39 and partly sunny with dp 28. ChescoWx
This morning's wintry mix our 2nd winter event of the season should slowly change to plain rain as we rise above freezing in most spots by later this morning. Some higher ridge spots may take into the early PM to get above freezing. Be careful if out driving this morning. Either way the rain will end later today, and we will stay much colder than normal for the rest of the week. Our warmest day looks to be tomorrow with temperatures near 10 degrees below normal for early December. We turn even colder by Friday with highs remaining below freezing for much of the area. There is a slight chance of some light snow on Friday night.

ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 01:36 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:36 PM Our well below normal temperature pattern for December looks to continue for much of the next couple of weeks. Tomorrow night and Friday look to be our coldest temperatures so far this young winter season. By Friday morning, the lows will be in the low to mid-teens with highs on Friday remaining below freezing. We will also see multiple chances of some light snow over the next couple of weeks. Our first chance of some measurable snow looks to arrive Friday afternoon into the evening. None of these look significant but if they were to occur they would certainly add to the holiday spirit. We get smacked in the face more times than not but we still go back for it. If retired, it would probably be a much more enjoyable hobby. You don't have a time schedule. Anything goes. But if you are working and like sports and weather your brain is running 24/7 trying to keep up. Plus everyday crap....
Newman Posted yesterday at 09:58 PM Share Posted yesterday at 09:58 PM Extended pattern looks great if you're into cold and dry northwesterly flow with maybe an occasional clipper system potent enough to deliver C-2" of snow
Hurricane Agnes
Looks like the latest MJO is showing Phase 8 and the NAO is negative with that PV dump headed here this weekend and into next, but then it retreats after that. Ended up hitting 40 for a high today and it's currently 35 with dp 24.

Ralph Wiggum
7 hours ago, RedSky said: A December to forget lol Thats why Ninas blow 95% of the time. You get early cold and chances with shortwaves racing thru the flow, but getting something to produce is a real challenge. Usually dry, suppressed, or sheared out. Then we end up losing the cold (usually) toward the holidays when the storm chances actually increase. Patience won't help us.
ChescoWx
An arctic front moves through later today with maybe a couple snow flurries. We turn windy and cold behind the front with highs today in the mid-30's and lows tonight will be near records levels for some stations with shorter periods of record with lows by tomorrow morning in the mid-teens. We remain in the upper 20's for highs tomorrow with a chance especially across Southern Chester County for some light snow or flurries during the afternoon. While still well below normal we do warm back up to the upper 30's for the weekend before the coldest weather of the season arrives on Monday. No significant storms over the next week.
