Rain totals over the last 3 days include East Nantmeal 1.22" / Atglen 1.56" / Chester Springs 1.31" / Devault 1.73" / Glenmoore 1.20" / Kennett Square 1.74" / West Bradford 1.64" / Nottingham 0.93"/Warwick 0.57" and West Chester 1.13". We should see some sun today as we dry out and see humidity levels drop. Today should be the warmest day for quite a while. Highs will be well into the 70's to 80 degrees in valley spots. We start cooling down tomorrow and in fact by next Thursday some of the higher spots may struggle to escape the upper 50's for high temperatures. We should see lows well down into the 40's by midweek as we start the month of Red October - Go Phillies! Our only chance of rain looks to be Saturday night with another 0.25" to 0.50" possible.

Any morning sun will fade behind clouds this afternoon. Some showers should start overspreading the area from south to north after 7pm this evening. Most spots across Chester County could see between 0.25" to 0.50" of rain. The sun returns tomorrow with continued above normal temperatures in the upper 70's. This will continue through early in the work week before we start a big cool down by the middle of the week. Of note you will see in the climate records below that 40 years ago today back in 1985 we experienced heavy rain across the area as a result of Hurricane Gloria.

Today will be our warmest day of the week along with some relatively high humidity for late September. Today’s highs will be in the upper 70's in the higher spots to lower 80's in valley locations. A couple of degrees cooler tomorrow followed by our chilliest weather so far this autumn season with highs by mid-week remaining in the 60's and morning lows well down into the 40's with even some 30's possible for our colder valley locations. We look dry through the entire week.

Hey guys, I am really excited to share that after 26 years I am in the process of having a professional refresh and updating my Chester County PA Weather website to the 21st century. It is still in process and will be updated with more and more data over the coming month. If interested stop by and please give me any feedback or recommendations for additional content or updates. Thanks again! Paul

Long range GFS shows snow October 11 lol
All the models show basically no preceiptitation the first 2 weeks of October. I'm so over this absolutely boring, dry weather routine. For as much as I hate heat I can't even do a drought probably as my meager August rain total came with below normal temperature. I hope this breaks by winter. I'll take a 3" December rain storm over whispy high clouds any day.

Yesterday’s high temperature of 79.1 degrees in East Nantmeal (22 years of data) set a new daily record for the date the old high temperature record was 77.9 in 2019. While it was unseasonably warm yesterday…it was still much cooler that the overall county record for the date which was 90 degrees set back in 1945 in Phoenixville.  Today and tomorrow will continue the unseasonably warm temperatures with highs both days well into the 70’s to near 80 in some of our valley locations. Our normal high temperatures here in Chester County for late September are in the low 70’s. We turn sharply cooler tomorrow night with lows by Wednesday morning in the upper 40’s to near 50 degrees. Thursday and Friday will be sunny but unseasonably chilly with highs in the mid 60’s and lows in the low to mid 40’s with even some 30’s across the valley spots. We slowly warm back up to normal temperatures by the weekend. Unfortunately, no rain chances this entire week.

Some teams ain’t built to beat top 10 teams.

They get those inflated rankings before the season and beat up on a couple division II type schools only to be deflated when they play real teams.

.

yeah their schedule really doesnt look to tough.  Drop to 7 is very fair imo

just looked and yeah, the dry theme continues.  Saving the precip for when its cold enough is an acceptable solution in my mind. :)

Low of 60. Completely exhausted from this past weekend, being up at Penn State and the emotional roller coaster that ensued, then Green Bay getting a tie last night, with both games going into the wee hours. I’m shot. At least the upcoming weather looks delightful.
The Steeler game almost killed me after the Penn State game. We all left my friends house at 6am this morning feeling very old.

Give me 70s and 80s in months its not going to snow much.  You can enjoy the weather outside.

September, October and even most of November, 40s and 50s and rain doesnt do much for me.

I get it...but I want fall to feel like...fall.

I want to sit down on a dark, cool Sunday afternoon with a bowl of chili watching the NFL games. I want to sit in my backyard in the evening with a sweatshirt on by my campfire. And it's gotta be pretty chilly for me to be wearing a sweatshirt. :)
