ChescoWx
Happy Halloween! There is a wind advisory in effect till midnight tonight and it will be a bit chillier than normal with temperatures falling into the mid to upper 40's and breezy. So, make sure to dress those trick or treaters accordingly if heading out for some treats. Temperatures for the next week will average close to or a little below normal for the first week of November. That said, while most of our valley spots have had several freezes, here on the higher ridge locales we have still not seen a frost or freeze, and this looks to continue for at least the next week. Our next rain chances look to be possible by Wednesday night.
JTA66
Finished with 2.60". Now I'm hoping the winds blow my leaves into the neighbor's yard so I can spend my Saturday on the couch watching college football.

Albedoman
noon runs look like an overunning situation possibly forming after a cold frontal passage near 11/13 with cold enuf temps to have frozen precip. Something to watch. The cold frontal passage on the 10th will bring hard freezes with temps in low 20's and high in the upper 30's.
ChescoWx
A beautiful autumnal weekend on the way! Leaves may be a bit past peak but enjoy. It’s still breezy today but not as windy as yesterday. Temperatures are not too far from normal to start November. We stay near normal early this week before trending back to below normal temperatures by the end of the week. We could see freezing temperatures again by tomorrow morning in those spots who have already seen multiple below freezing readings. Higher ridge locations have still not seen either a frost or freeze this autumn season. Only some slight rain chances on Monday evening but otherwise a dry week ahead. LVblizzard
Looks like most models have something off the coast early next week. The GFS is the only one that gets it cold enough for accumulating snow. At the very least it’s nice to have something to track again.

Albedoman
My first shot at this potential event-- the coastal timing will bounce back and forth on the 10th to 11th. I only expect a white rain event at the best. Just not cold enough to see accumulating snow this time of the year in the valleys. The cold air has not been really locked in yet. Strictly an elevation event if it does occur--about 1500ft for accumulating snow. South Mtn range is my best guess at this time to see the best chance of accumulating snow in our area. The big takeaway IMHO- it will finally feel like winter again, with highs in the mid to upper 30's and the heat will finally have come on. The GEM sees something on the noon run but the snow hits at the very tail end of the storm. The GFS will be bouncing all over the place the next 5-7 days typical with the govt shutdown for additional air soundings in the Pac west
The Iceman
regardless of snow, looks like a decent cold shot across all guidance around the 10-12th. A bit OT but i started reading this last night to get into the winter spirit: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/61272028-northeaster highly recommend it for any other weather history buffs out there. It's an enjoyable read so far about a storm I really knew nothing about.
ChescoWx
Sun is returning this afternoon with highs near normal in the upper 50's. Similar weather tomorrow before our warmest day of the week on Wednesday with temperatures into the low to mid 60's for some great Indian Summer type weather. We turn much cooler again on Thursday with highs struggling into the low 50's for most spots. Our next rain chance looks to arrive by Friday night. Hurricane Agnes
Yesterday I bottomed out at 37, the coldest since April 12 IMBY, with a high of 61. This morning's low was a bit warmer at 42 and I made it up to 58 for a high after the cloud deck broke up. Didn't get any of the precip that had been moving north this morning, but exited to the northeast before it got all the way here. Currently 52 with dp 48. ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 12:47 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:47 PM Happy Election Day to all who hopefully celebrate by voting! It should be a great weather day but a bit breezier than yesterday. Temperatures this afternoon should be close to normal for early November. Tomorrow will be the warmest day of the week with temperatures into the mid 60's for most spots. We turn chillier on Thursday and Friday with rain by Friday night. We still look to turn much colder than normal by the start of the new work week with temperatures struggling to reach the mid 40's for highs on Monday. ChescoWx
As this is the first month that we average some measurable snow (1.2") here in East Nantmeal - below are the Top 25 November Snowstorms in Chester County PA History. https://chescowx.com/top-snowfalls-by-month/
ChescoWx
Warwick Township hit freezing for a low this morning for the 10th time this season while higher spots like East Nantmeal still have yet to experience either a frost or freeze. That streak has a chance to end by Friday morning for many of the higher spots across the area and if not certainly by early next week with our coldest air so far this season. Winds will slowly increase today first out of the southwest ahead of the cold front and then out of the northwest and increasing with gusts as high as 40 mph between 10pm and midnight. The NWS has issued a wind advisory from 7pm tonight till 7am tomorrow morning. Today’s highs today into the low to mid 60's but about 10 degrees cooler tomorrow. We warm up again for the weekend to temperatures a few degrees above normal before we fall well below normal to start the new work week. Our best rain chances look to be Friday night.
