The Orioles are so lost right now. Their core young players now look mediocre/are injury prone, other than Holiday(way too soon to know). This team is at a crossroads and I don't think Elias is the one to figure it out and find the best path forward. First and foremost, he needs to go.

I think they need to add a professional bat or 2 during the off-season to balance out the line up. Not enough good at bats during crucial times of the game.

I think the young core could of been over valued some. Over the Long haul I think there good enough to win if you give them some outside help.

Losing Santander's 40+ Homer's from last year has certainly hurt the line up. And when you combine that with Gunner's power outage,It's a significant drop off in production.

In Adley's case He's been better this year than last. His surface numbers don't show it but deeper stats show he's been one of the most un luckiest hitters in the league.  He's hard hit rate and barrel rate suggest his BA should be significantly higher than it is.

I don't have much faith in Elias. It's been a rough 12 months for him going back to last years trade deadline. His wheelhouse seems to be the draft but building a major league roster isn't.

This. Talk about ownership responsibility...NOW they have a huge decision to make this off-season. If they decide to keep him and things get worse, that's gonna be on them too. I also don't have much confidence that Elias can fix this. We need to have a fresh start from GM down, imo

Now funny thing about last year's trade deadline...what if Rogers really does work out? That would make it not nearly as bad, lol Efflin was also a good move but we got unlucky with his injuries (but he certainly shut it down in the playoffs).

I would love to see the Os trade for a starting pitcher with multiple years of team control left. Would be nice to see them building to be competitive next year.

The only thing is that woulf make us a buyer--and we aren't exactly in a position to be that for this trade deadline. Now I could see a scenario where we package some of the prospects we get this year to buy something in the off-season.

I've read a few articles that the Os could be in on starters with team control beyond this year. I doubt it happens but you never know I guess.

The Os will need to be busy in the off season for starting pitching.

With Eflin,Sugano and Morton all gone this week or at the end of the season they've got some work to do.

I'd just be happy to see them draft a pitcher or two. I know there's a higher chance of busts there, but we haven't picked a pitcher in the 1st round in 7 years. The unicorns you speak of are few and far between and will come with hefty price tags and, last I checked, we currently have exactly 1 Top 100 prospect right now pending trade deadline pickups.

Yeah you're probably right. I just saw one of those articles, lol If there's plenty of control, it would make sense!

Ravens TE Isaiah Likely to undergo surgery on broken bone in foot, miss around six weeks

Crap news, but Ravens are deep at TE and I think Andrews is on a mission after that Buffalo game. Lets hope this doesn't become another Training camp injury epidemic.

We've been doing pretty good the last few years...but that kind of thing is always a spin of the wheel...
