Anyway, it's not worth arguing that the month is a torch and with the elevated humidity/dews it's AN

Beyond next Fri into weekend doesn't inspire much of a cooldown- really a relaxation of heat for a day perhaps

Tuesday-Thursday:

Tuesday through Friday, a mid-level ridge builds over the regions.
Temperatures aloft increase with 850mb temperatures peaking at
around 20C in the Weds-Thurs timeframe. A good amount of moisture
gets transported over the ridge by Wednesday adding humidity to the
mix. Temperatures Tuesday through at least Thursday will range in
the upper 80s to mid 90s with the exception of the immediate coast.
With the the added element of higher humidity, it will feel more
like mid to near 100 Wednesday and Thursday.

So far it hasn’t really been a torch. AN to be sure.  +2.6F for BOS.  +2.5 for ORH.

this next stretch coming up will certainly be torchy.

I remember when graphics like that stopped at 75°. We weren’t supposed to ever go above that.

Remember when we used to spend weeks arguing with DIT about 57-58F at the ASOS’ and 61-62F on his Davis… whether it was humid or not because it hovered around the magical 60 line on these graphics?

Its like we’ve +10 the dews in a decade.

Lol no

Those 18z anomalies are voodoo. Sorry. They paint half of the country blue at 18z and it flips to orange at 00z 6hrs later. Pull out the godsmack.

2m temperature anomaly maps are in the fraud 5 of what should never be looked at.

1. snow maps - they are pure garbage

2. supercell composite parameter - stupid

3. significant tornado parameter - stupid

4. the hazard option on the SHARPPy soundings - stupid

5. 2M temperature anomaly maps - stupid

I tried to tell em. BN is almost non existent unless it’s pouring with a 20Kt NE wind.

Climate change is definitely roaring its head. I mean the last few days down here have been equivalent to probably some of the hottest days we’ve had this summer. The only difference is the super high sun angle…that sun is strong and you can get burned within minutes. But outside right now…it doesn’t feel much different than the warm nights up there
