Big storm flirted but ultimately skirted me, and I'm more than fine with that. @Mount Joy Snowman should be getting hit hard about now.

0.24" of rain here.

I was in East Petersburg all evening visiting a friend, with just light to moderate rain. Will give a full report from KMJS in the morning. But certainly nothing crazy, thank god.

I know. Just wanted to clarify. I see the storms blew up northeast of me...again. Scranton and the Poconos are getting it good again as I type this.

My area has been pretty snakebit this past month.

Amazing. Once again, both north and south got storms last night. We got 0.11" in garden variety fashion.

Why is this scenario repeating itself?

More summertime heat and humidity on tap for today. Please be mindful of the heat and take common-sense precautions. A few afternoon/early evening thunderstorms will form along an incoming cool front; a few of them may contain strong, damaging wind gusts.

Today will be the warmest day of the next week with many spots outside of the higher elevations reaching 90 degrees for the first time here in July. We turn cooler and finally less humid tomorrow and Saturday with temperatures running a couple of degrees below normal highs for late July. Shower chances increase again by Saturday night into Sunday. Early next week looks like it will continue to be a little below normal with comfortable humidity levels.image.png.5b9315534f0bd0e8f09b63c91dc94492.pngimage.thumb.png.232ebc5da9ac2745c0fb9462e5000a91.png

Tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday look incredible. Temps in the 80s with dewpoints falling from the 60s into the upper 50s tomorrow and then mostly in the 50s (possibly upper 40s?!) by late Monday into Tuesday.

I think we've earned the reprieve.

Yep, going to be glorious.  We'll be on the river tomorrow.
