I am still waiting for a winter storm warning event LOL.  You know its dry when another sinkhole opens up a 100 ft wide  crater right across the street from the Amazon Center in Palmer Township.  The hurricane in a few weeks will take care of any drought conditions. Planting grass seed is impossible in these conditions. This is seal your driveway or paint the fence weather dry and hot.

No, thank you. My area is fine, and hasn't been in a drought since about March 5. (I told you after the Eagles Parade, when I saw mud, that the drought was almost over. Lo and behold, three weeks later, we got the rain event that was the beginning of the end of the drought.)

I don't want a hurricane. I'd be okay with some T-storm events (like 7/31, and that wasn't long ago), but a hurricane would be overboard, and probably put my area in a flooding situation.

We should see for some spots today recording their first above normal temperature day so far here in August. The humidity will also increase. The warmest day of the work week should be tomorrow with temperatures well up into the 80's and maybe touching 90 degrees in some of the valley locations. A front should pass through the area on Wednesday night which should bring the humidity down toward the end of the week. We could see some showers and thunderstorms with the front by Wednesday evening. Next weekend looks sunny with increasingly warm temperatures.

Topped out at 89F yesterday and Sunday, so no official heatwave here yet. Had the AC off all weekend. Even now, I'm running it during the day and turning it off and opening the window before going to bed. Once the humidity kicks in, will be back to running it full time.

Yesterday was our 11th straight below normal temperature day here in East Nantmeal to start the month of August. Today we should finally see above normal temperatures and they look like they should last through the week and into the weekend. We should see temperatures in the mid to upper 80's for the rest of the work week and maybe reaching the 90's by Sunday. We have been dry so far this month so the potential shower later tomorrow into the evening will be welcomed by our many area farmers and green thumbs.
