Chester is getting hammered

It had been rocking and rolling with the lightning here in Philly since at least 1 am and had lots of thunder from around 2 am through about 3 am.  I ended up getting an additional 0.17" yesterday on my last-reported total, for a final total of 0.63" for the day, and 3.81" for the month.  And moving into the new month, the storm pretty much wound down by 4 am and I picked up 0.81" in the bucket overnight, for a 2-day total of 1.44".

Currently overcast and 73 with dp 72.

Had an amazing thunder storm last night around midnight. Most frequent lightning in years. Very heavy rain as well.

We generally saw between 1" to as much as nearly 3" of rain across Chester County last evening and overnight. Some spots like West Bradford received 2.92" of rain with Glenmoore at 2.06" and East Nantmeal with 1.73" of rain. We could see quite a bit more rain later today as a cold front approaches from the west tonight. The NWS has issued a Flash Flood Watch from 2pm through 2am Wednesday. The NWS has a forecast of another 1" to 2" of rain but some of the shorter-range models show even more across some spots. Today will be our warmest day of the week with highs in the upper 80's. We fall back pretty close to normal or a bit below tomorrow with near normal temperatures through Saturday before we warm back to a few degrees above normal by next Sunday. No 90-degree temperatures are expected at least in the higher spots of the county throughout the week.

I had a strike shake the house when the main storms weren’t even here. Then very heavy rain and some garden variety thunder/lightning later.

Currently a hazy and clouding-up 89 IMBY with dp 80. Ugh.

And a little pop-shower over has manifested over me giving me a couple hundreds more and now have 0.83" in the bucket.  Temp slowly dropped to 85 but dp is a solid 80.

Had to go to a dentist appointment this afternoon and then pick up something from the pharmacy and barely made it in the door.  It got dark fast!  So far an up to 1.26" (total) in the bucket with > 2"/hr rates.  Am under a fresh warning.

Temp down to 76 with dp 73.

Basically stationary storm over me for the last 45 minutes, picked up another 0.70" to bring my two-day total up to 2.95" with plenty more on the way

79f humidity 92% Cloudy a few drops some thunder far distance.  Had a rogue lightning strike that temporarily knocked out the tv. So far trace of rain kind of meh so far.

Got to 89F today before some showers came through dropping me down to 78F. Wonder if that will have any effect when the main line approaches in the next few hours.

Pretty much getting missed by everything.  Need rain desperately.  Only had 1.19" in all of June.  Temp did drop 11F down to 82F from the gust front, though.

Ended up with an additional 0.06" after the last report for a day total of 1.32" but then got another hundredth for 1.33" about 20 minutes ago.  I saw a TOR was up briefly for northern Montco/southern Berksco.

Surprised you haven't received more, unless you're talking about the last couple of hours. Have 1.05" here in the last 24 hours, including about a half an inch around 2 to 3 am last night.

Well, I was standing outside looking up at my drone when this strike reached down from the sky and startled the shit out of me.  lol
