ORD hit 90° on Saturday, 94° on Sunday, and 90° today. Midway wasn't even close on Saturday (Lake Breeze), but hit 93° on Sunday and 91° today.

...2025 90°+ Day Tally...
12 - DPA
11 - ORD
10 - MDW
10 - RFD
10 - ARR
10 - PWK
10 - LOT
7 - UGN

I just noticed that the last half of June should be the warmest on record at ORD by a large margin (1°F+) and the warmest since 2012.

Yuck.

Certainly was a very impressive period, with departures in excess of 8F in spots. I wonder if it would be possible to see such large deviations in a summer month for a full 4 weeks. That would be nuts!

Thanks to the last 10 days of the month being the warmest last 10 days of June on record (despite a max of "only" 95), June at Detroit ended up tying with 1994 for 11th warmest June on record. To put it into perspective, as of June 20th, it was ranking 64th coldest.

I think we can both compromise and agree that today is a top shelf summer day with the limited humidity. Although I'd imagine 75 instead of 85 would be your preference.

This is off topic but I have memories of a hot June in the mid 1990s and I always feel like I’m remembering 1995 because it was a hot summer. However, I don’t think June of 1995 was actually warm. I wonder if I’m remembering 1994.
