Park (104) vs 1936 location probably saw higher temps Jul 22, 2011 than 1936

I wonder if there is a way to look at local temp data from around the area like we look at snowfall data for the March 1888 blizzard and see that southern Brooklyn got 26 inches and northern Queens got 32 inches.

As an example, in July 1966, JFK hit 104 and LGA hit 107, while Newark was only 105 and NYC only hit 103.  I wonder why this happened in such a dry summer?

July 1966 still holds the heat records for both JFK and LGA. in July 2011 JFK got to 103 and LGA got to 104, same as NYC.

I'm sick today anyway with the bug that's been spreading around my office. So whatever. Light steady rain here which is what it looks like we'll have for the next hour or so.

Yep, nothing heavy and it will be all finished before sunset and the sun could even peek out around 7 this evening. It might be a nice sunset.  I hope you feel better JM, bugs suck, but especially this time of year.

It looks like the only days it will rain are Saturday and Tuesday, with mostly cloudy tomorrow and Monday.  Finally a nice dry stretch with warmer weather will begin on Wednesday.

I don't buy the euro unless other models agree with it.

*a nice dry stretch* means 3 days of sunshine before the rain comes back next weekend lol

Monsoon type rains just developed over us in Mahwah, absolutely pouring out.

Those little cells in N NJ are making the next few hours unpredictable weather wise.

I wish they would just fizzle out and get out of the way already.

As quickly as it arrived it disappeared.  HUGE rain drops.  It is so oppressive outside up here in Mahwah.
