Record was 56, was 57 just after midnight. Today's record low max is a relatively balmy 60. Should have no problem breaking that one, unfortunately. Millersville high yesterday was 56 breaking the low max temperature record by 4 degrees.
ChescoWx
Yesterday's high temperature at East Nantmeal tied the Chester County record set 116 years ago for the chilliest high temperature for the date. That record of 52 degrees was set at both Coatesville and Phoenixville way back in 1909. Here in East Nantmeal we have received 1.33" of rain over the past 2 days we are now 0.31" above normal for rainfall here in 2025. We start to dry out today with only a small chance of some showers. We look to stay well below normal through Sunday before we moderate to about 5 degrees below normal by Memorial Day. Temperatures look likely to remain below normal for the next week. Our next shower chances arrive later on Tuesday.

That was also the time that spring that I fertilized my lawn and my mower blew a head gasket. So I was sol on mowing when it wasn't raining. By the time I got the mower fixed I was making hay, the grass was so tall and thick. I remember this. The weeks of clouds drizzle and rain was the supposed cause for a steep rise in suicide rate in cpa that month.
