That's was kinda wild, sitting outside, 75 degrees and then the more northerly winds won out and we could feel the cool air moving in like walking into air conditioning, down to 68 now and dropping quickly.

Cool air has reached Northport, 57 degrees there now. 

It's rushing west along the north shore the way the NAM had depicted.

The GEMLAM is backwards with regard to the cool air coming west along the North shore, the cool air line in Long Island right now is declining west to east, but the GEMLAM showed the line inclining west to east:

There's a spot just NE of Huntington where there is a 30 degrees spread in temps within a distance of a bit over a mile

The NAM did an excellent job generally speaking with the colder air right along the north shore. This map is for 4PM. It shows the current situation between Northport and you very well:

The HRRR had this well modeled as well, only difference was the NAM never showed 80+ degrees, classic lol

Interesting enough, the sea breeze actually got pushed back, my winds are now due west

I was expecting a more dramatic drop, it still feels kind of warm in Port Jefferson Station at 65.
