Been nice and showery here with some cloud lightning, including one that was right overhead and very bright, with the long rolling thunder that rumbles off into the distance. So far about 0.20" for this evening. Nice out (for sitting on the porch)!

Have the tail end of it moving through here now, lots of thunder and lightning and about a half inch of rain in 20 minutes, not too much wind though. Overnight total here so far is 1.05", a nice soaker! Currently 70F.

During senior week (Wildwood) I probably played 20+hrs total of drunken ski ball and accumulated a bail of tickets. Cash it in for a pretty cool Led Zeppelin framed mirror. But then again probably sank $100+ in quarters and the mirror probably retailed for $30. Fun though...

Don't recall what game I was playing, but came home from Wildwood with Zeppelin and Def Leppard mirrors one summer. Still had them boxed up in the crawl space until Isaias.

Mine was smashed during one of my many moves...was pretty pissed.

Partly sunny but still muggy, DP should drop as the day wears on.

Mt. Holly confirmed an EF1 tornado in Blackwood, NJ this morning -

I think that might be the first for the season in the CWA.

After a low of 68 this morning, I made it up to 83 and with the frontal passage, the humidity has definitely dropped from earlier.  It's currently 79 and mostly cloudy with peaks of sun, and dp 59.

This was the third tornado this year. The first one was in Bucks County at the end of March, second one was in Monmouth County in May. The new tornado ally continues.

Thanks for that update!  Agree that tornado alley has been moving east and especially on your side of the river! :twister::lol:

Just a couple miles from me.  Looks like it dropped just after passing over the building I work at.

Hey Mike, I enjoyed reading your near term forecast discussion just now, and I noticed last night and again tonight this new guy, RCM. And it dawned on me, that's gotta be Raymond C. Martin. Hot dang Ray, welcome back again! I realize I'm out on a limb here and maybe my extrapolation is off, but nah, lol.

Yeah, it seems like many storms strengthen and hit NJ the hardest. Hopefully it will just me mild tornadoes if the region gets more. Last year with the EF3s and EF2s was unusual.

Ha!  I saw that but then have been seeing other "new" names and forgot about Ray (time flies).  :D

That seems to have been a pattern where it's like downsloping off the Piedmont into the relatively flat coastal plane as it crosses the river and then boom! :lightning:
