Honestly if this is going to be our last storm of the winter(time running out) bring the ICE might as well hope to get close to 0.50 here in Burke county.

If you look at the soundings though , it's more ZR than it is IP

So the algorithm is messed on the  NAM and HRRR? I don't have the plus version so can't look at soundings.

700 and 925 continue to cool however, which is a good sign and toward the right direction anyway.

From what I can tell , it's showing ZR up this way on the sounding , while the radar is showing us getting IP...

When ever the 3k nam is done would love to see the final totals for ZR.

You don't want to see it trust me..

One thing I really love to see, unlike other storms where we’ve been completely borderline going into, is temp has dropped to 27 and dew is down to 16 here. Great indicator for the upcoming system.

I have also thought about getting a generator if I can find one tomorrow. Our area looks like close to the bullseye

Can you post this in the banter thread, it doesnt do any good in here

Horrible news coming from Texas. I have a feeling this is a foreshadowing of what's to come here.

Yes I think Marion East towards Morganton/Valdese and towards Hickory are going to be in some deep trouble. The trends continues for our areas I just mentioned now I know why Brad P. and GSP/other were saying these areas need be ready for power outages.

Goodness even the 3K Puts 3/4+ on Iredell/Rowan/Catawba Counties

Yep and even if it's overdone by 1/2 we are still in serious trouble.

A lot of that falls with temps around 32 in many areas. I can’t imagine it accumulates at the rate depicted by the 3K if temps aren’t at least in the 30-31 range.

Totally agree. Honestly think sleet is the only thing that can save us from serious power issues

Yeah Marion/Morganton/Lenoir/Valdese/Hickory and out towards Statesville if these trends keep holding like they been and going up also we all are in some trouble.

I thought I was out of the woods, but the trend is putting me in the cross hairs now. Going to get some fuel for the generator, just in case.

Will not be shocked if all the above places I said will be under ICE storm Warning by Tom AM package from GSP. Brad was saying about upping totals for the areas I talked about from 0.25-0.35 to more near 0.40-0.55 if the trends continue.

Yeah this run would be bad north of the interstate back home. You could go from basically nothing at the state line on New Hope Road to half an inch or more in Cherryville.
