You must be near Amherst middle based off of what you said about 1/2 mile south of Main Street near Burroughs. Got about 5.5” new on the day here but ripping once again. Just a few miles to our South has double.

Close to Amherst Middle, but on the north side of Main (next to Smallwood Elementary). Having experienced a few events where 1 mile south got 12”+ and I got zilch, I’ll take our 8”+ today and run.

Heavy snow here now again. Flake size increased too.

...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN WYOMING...
NORTHERN ERIE...SOUTHEASTERN NIAGARA...SOUTHERN ORLEANS AND GENESEE
COUNTIES...

At 212 PM EST, A narrow band of lake effect snow producing snow fall
rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour was located across the southern
portions of the Buffalo northtowns, from Kenmore and Amherst to
Clarence, and as far east as Pembroke and Oakfield in Genesee
county. Expect the snowband to begin to settle southward across the
Buffalo Metro toward the southtowns through 4 PM.

Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this band of lake effect
snow which will create blowing and drifting to the snow. A rumble of
thunder is possible with the most intense portion of the snowband.

Harlem and Walden. Complete whiteout. Visibility under 100 feet

Awesome. As you make your way back to your place you should go down route 5 (Main St) out through Clarence into Akron and then can get back on the Thruway in Pembroke. Clarence has been getting slammed all day long with the best returns as they’re getting the convergence from the band.
