TPAwx
Standing water already an issue on the roads across South Tampa. Some pretty hefty downpours moving though but the wind has been minor thus far.

FLweather
Hmon is definitely more bullish on the amount of moisture and banding compare to Hwrf. But both show it getting rocky late tonight early in the morning for the I4 corridor. Sure hope there is not alot of quick spin up tornadoes tonight. That's my only concern
TPAwx
My neighborhood. Water will likely breach over into the road later this evening. Houses on the other side of Bayshore should be ok.

Prospero
4K without power in Pinellas. Not too bad so far. After Irma Duke Energy replaced most of the main power structure. But it is just now getting more intense. 3 1/2 inches of rain here in Gulfport with gusts into the 40s so far. 60 mph gust on Clearwater Beach. The water is coming up on the beach even with the winds still blowing off the coast.

Prospero
After dark my Clearwater Beach cam is not great quality, but worth checking to see how high the water comes in over night. We have a small sunsetter canopy on our front porch supposed to be good to 35 mph winds. It was thrashing and making a lot of really bad sounds, so I just took it down…for the first time since it was installed. It was about to rip the screws out of the house and become a flapping nightmare. I couldn’t remember how to take it down, so was out in the wind and rain struggling with it! It is down now, after getting soaked and falling down once when I finally figured out how to release the two main structure beams and it folded on top of me! I hope my neighbors across the street were not watching! LOL 1

Every other model allows the NErly flow @ 500mb to capture it and pull it SW across central America. GFS showed that a few runs ago but now changed it's mind. I think it's a fugiwara effect with a convective blob to the north that's preventing it from being pulled SW but I'm open to other suggestions. Probably nothing like this verifies. Looking back on some earlier posts, it's pretty amazing that the GFS got the dip and stall near the Keys pretty spot on 10 days in advance, even if it was way too bullish on the intensity. 2 1

Well, all season I've been ready for a tropical storm just strong enough to be interesting without losing power. So far so good. A bit more cleanup in my backyard than I need, but at least I didn't miss out on 2020. That would be disappointing. I think the winds have peaked, but the surge is significant for around here and might surprise a few when all is done.
TradeWinds
Live report from Orlando. We have a gust to 10 mph and about 0.02" of rain today. The strongest gust I see so far is 60 mph at the Skyway Fishing Pier and Surfside Condos on Clearwater Beach. Our weather station at Surfside is on top of the building, so the wind is always stronger up there. I think 78 was the peak with Irma. We've had gusts in the 50s around Gulfport.
Prospero
So I believe with Eta, west central Florida was the last piece of the 2020 puzzle. Every mile of coast from southern Texas to northern Maine has been in a tropical warning this year.
CampergirlFL
On the I-4 corridor near Plant City, very gusty right now, tons of rain. Hope I don’t have a travel trailer full of water outside in the AM. Didn’t get bad here until about 9pm, but power still on. Looks like we are in a band at the moment. .
