I guess today will be bigger in Ny metro than yesterday?  Figured I'd start this if you want to use and keep the rest of the reports off yesterdays disappointment topic.

Will start with the first posted LSR. Will replace these LSR maps as time permits and events dictate.

See SPC D1 and local NWS offices/friends etc for any comments.

Under a cell that popped up just to my west decent lightning and thunder, no hail but a peak rainfall rate of 3.02” per hour right now.

The rainfall rate peaked at 4.14” per hour, .51” in the Davis now with lighter rain still falling, will have to go check the Stratus when it’s done as that was quite the downpour.

@wdrag great job picking up the Saturday threat early.  I wish it panned out but you saw the potential before anyone else that I heard from.

@forkyfork and great job to you for picking up on today's potential yesterday.

This isn't a big forum but we're very blessed to have talented meteorologists and enthusiastic amateurs--one of my favorite online communities I belong to.

Good luck today everyone!

Hopefully some of it soaked in the ground.  Total of 0.56 in this 1st one.  Next one about an hour away.

Luckily the ground was still moist from yesterday’s more gentle rainfall so not all of it rain off, we got some soakage. Now eyes turn to our NW to see what that line does.

Pretty decent line formed and that line has a bowing segment in western Sullivan County.

That line just came through here in Narrowsburg. No strong winds to report here but certainly poured buckets for about 15-20 minutes. Thinking it could hold further S&E and potentially strengthen some.
