Woke up to 1.64" in the gauge and a roaring creek....actually, the highest it's been since a minor flash flood over the summer.

Woke up at 4:00am to a torrent outside.  Ended up with 1.62" overnight.  Just perfect to turn the yard into a swamp and the east coast ski resorts up through PA into slush piles.  If only it were 20 degrees colder.  A "mere" 20 degrees....

1.87"

^ is both the amount of rain I got last night, and the amount of snow I've had this season :yikes:

Sounds like a bad omen lol

In the lower 40s here in the countryside. We have pretty average weather for basically this whole week. No rain till Sat. Couple AN days here and there.

Got some returns overhead but doesn’t look like it’s snowing in Charlottesville. Hopefully things moisten up a little bit. Would love some mood flakes.

15-20dbz returns can’t do it, so probably not gonna get to record my T today. Sun is shining through the clouds.

Lots of snow reports west of the line from Greensboro down to Charlotte North Carolina and West of Greenville South Carolina. This may bode well for the northern I-81 crew if precip can get up that far west.

Wait. It can’t do that. This was an impossibility

Lol. In 125 years of records it has never not had at least 1.5” of measurable snowfall from Feb 1 on here. I doubt this year doesn’t have any measurable snow here the rest of the year. That’s almost impossible. A cow farts and it snows here. But I doubt it amounts to more than a inch or two here and there unless we either get supremely lucky or a bonafide pattern flip.
