Presidents Day Weekend Threat(s)

Recommended Posts

Still think that Sunday night into monday is a legit threat. We need to see shifts at 12z if we're going to see anything saturday. Anyway, hope this thread brings them luck and we see at least one decent snowfall through this.

I also do not think Saturday is dead at all. We've seen a N trend all winter long with events once we hit 72 hours. a 50 mile bump N and many of us see a WWA 2-4" snowfall. Definitely not time to write it off.

12z NAM is like what saturday event? Either it's way OTL(likely) or it's going to score a big coup

Made a huge jump in the right direction. Went from mostly sunny at 6z to partly cloudy at 12z. :P

well saturdays event is moving the wrong way...funny how we get n trends all year except when we actually need them. worst winter of the 2010's by far.

EDit: i guess the gfs ticked N ever so slightly with wave 1.

Wave 2 was significantly south from 06z... very close to being a hit here.

The 3rd wave definitely has my interest!  Now if only we can get it to hold for a week...

CMC is a solid WWA event for saturday hmmmm... not too far off from the euro honestly just shifted 50 miles north. Let's see the rest of 12z...

gfs wave 3 totals...would be a solid hit and with that fetch out of the gulf, precip would certainly increase as we get closer. can't have it amplify too much though.

Yeah the temps looked marginal for I-95...obviously too far out to worry about those details

Big differences on wave 3 but overall decent ones. big highs to the N where as there really isn't much high pressure locking in the cold on the GFS OP. Much better look though may lead to suppression.

euro is close to delivering accumulating snow to us. literally a 50-75 mile shift N puts us in the game. root for a stronger system...not outside the realm of possibility in this range, need to see some signs soon though.

This is like the mid Atl subforum now. Do we discuss obs in this thread? Mid range? Weekend? Or next weeks wave 3 threat? Asking for a friend.

I'm thinking about discussing if the Phils will sign Harper to make it a well rounded threat...may as well make it screwed up much like this winter.

From your lips to God - Go Phils!!! best time of the year with the greatest sport there is coming back after our long wait!!! I love football but just not enough games - I always say baseball is like a soap opera for the sports fan - a game just about every day!!

LV should watch wave 2... may be a little minor event. We're inside 120 on wave 3 and things look good for 2-4" to sleet to rain for  95 with more N and W. Let's see how we fail this one and go 0 for on these threats...

Lots of precip in our area and snow to our south and north in the forecast.  Seems like how the whole winter has gone.  At least we might see some action in the next few weeks.  Meanwhile its 60F+.

Anyone see the mid week storm ? Wow

Euro!

I see it and it's a clone of the last "storm". 5 days out the euro fake snow maps had me pegged for 6" too. Come on man how is this a good look?
