So, new Nam, RGEM, and 21z SMRF's all west...as stated, when watching this develop....look at the H7 analysis to see where the H7 low is going....the surface LP is just the pump into the atmosphere...H7 (to the NW) is where you want to be!!

And that is where we are, lol, for the 850 as well so we're in great shape I think, sans the GFS going nuts at 00Z and going East, lol.

Ridge axis out West is in C NV right up through C OR up into WA state and amplifies so how does this thing not hug the coast or even head a bit further inland as that ridge axis is way west for an EC system.  IMO she comes further West, not much but enough to help out WNY for sure!

Well, the coastal front is what will drive the LP....where that sets up is the key to the location of the SLP...but the best dynamics will be where the H7 LP runs.....sometimes a LP can ride up into Long Island and give us nothing....other time an LP can be east of there and we get great snows....

Yeah GFS is a bit west of 18z (probably 25mi) and a couple mb stronger but not a significant jump. Its stubbornly going to remain the most eastern piece of guidance.

Crushes South and East of ALB, down to NYC, and through SNE.  Even if it happened as is per this run of GFS, it should throw better snows to the north and west of there.
