E PA/NJ/DE/Okle: Banter/Non Storm OBS thread

Recommended Posts

Qtownneeds snow is usually as cold as the airport Ray I don't know what happened last night. Typically night's like that they are 5F colder than me

Yeah I was surprised he said he got below zero.  The closest airports to slip below were in northwest Jersey (Sussex and Andover).

In NYC sub-forum a couple of reports of snow reaching the ground in NEPA and NWNJ...

Seems to be all virga from central pa south. We were just under a "heavier" return in Berks and not a flake. Batch looks to be breaking up/consolidating in NY state/NWNJ/NEPA. I got a little excited when I saw the radar at first. On another note the NAM came ridiculously further south. Exits the coast in southern VA now. Looks icy for sepa, but very disjointed.

Agreed......and as for the rest, however the details for this upcoming "event" turn out, it's always nice when things trend snowier/colder (from a snow lover's perspective). The longer term sounds pretty interesting too.

After the next cold snap we are heading into an early spring. It will be like a light switch was flipped. Im guessing by mid March we will have had our first 70 degree day. Much of the nation basking under above normal temps already. When we lose that trof thats been hanging out over the northeast by the 21st things will turn around but yeah, that little critter didnt see the progs for the next 10 days.
