Typhoon Tip
Pretty thick cloud shield out here. Solid OVC. About midway between Albany and Oneonta. Car thermo (usually reasonable) reads 81. Yeah, ...I'm seeing a junked-out vis imagery now plagued with cloud shrapnel everywhere, even in the perceived warm sector. I think the thinking by SPC earlier was that bona fide clearing would surge in and really toast the area with 84/67 and better SBCAPE. This doesn't look like it is going to cut it. It was more clear earlier across NY/PA... It's like the debris redeveloped.

The ones near Syracuse... aided by the s/w... are taking off. It appears the later arrival of the s/w will doom this event for far E NY and W SNE. H2Otown_WX
Per SPC meso, bulk shear down here is kinda meh...I always thought this event was about lack of instability but the shear profile isn't nearly as good here as just to the north.
