Geos
I'm guessing the ice on the lake is going to be the last hints of winter to disappear! The 10-20th crowd might actually be in luck.
A-L-E-K
does lake ice count?
Jonger
This is why I should have hired a lawyer to get this legitimized. Ok, we have a lake and an exaggerated plow pile to deal with.... Lets count the pile, but exclude the lake.
Geos
That pile really hung on today. Thermometer cooking at 70. I do not think that will be gone on Thursday.
frostfern
The vertical shrinkage has definitely slowed down despite the 70 degree temps. It still seems to be melting in from the sides though. I think the 9th still looks good now.
cyclone77
Not much snow left in the UP. Can see some pockets of snow cover still left where some of the deeper snows had fallen.
Jonger
Not much snow left in the UP. Can see some pockets of snow cover still left where some of the deeper snows had fallen. Most snow looks to be 1200+ ft above sea level. A little bit still left in the eastern UP.
frostfern
This is really coming down to the wire. Thermometer says it's 80 freaking degrees but the glacier is still taking it's sweet old time. I might have to drive up their and take a hair dryer to it. I'm still banking on the 9th but a little worried the last sliver of ice will hang on. Geos
75° at Hancock right now! So that glacier is sweating it for sure. That snow must be like 2:1, lol. Edit: Thinking the 10th of 11th will be the last day of snow in the shot.

Jonger
The melt rate is going to slow down drastically. I'm 90% confident my pick will prevail. I'm guessing this will melt out on the 14th.
Geos
I'm going to predict the snow to the right of the snowman will be gone by tomorrow. Edit: Lol, fresh snow in the last shot of the day.

Geos
I'm going to predict the snow to the right of the snowman will be gone by tomorrow. Nevermind, lol! Amazing it's noon on Mother's Day and the fresh snow hasn't gone anywhere!
Jonger
This timelapse is so cool.... We need another one starting around mid November till spring. Sadly it probably won't get up to 6 feet this coming year, since its so rare.

Sadly it probably won't get up to 6 feet this coming year, since its so rare. I like it too. Since the time frame was so short, I figured I'd grab the hourly image and loop that. But, for a seasonal lapse, I use a noon shot, one image a day. At least it is what I do for my webcam, like this -->
Jonger
I love the time lapse.... Its amazing how much of a change the sun angle is from day to day, its like 1 inch of extra distance for a 20 foot poll.
Geos
Almost gone! I think were down to less than 12 hours to go now. I don't see any lake ice anymore.
