Have been getting 40mph+ gusts here for the past few hours. Band of RA moved through earlier this morning.

Getting in on some backside sleet/snow showers now.

Sleet/snow combo beginning here now. Hoping to pick up a couple of inches of LES even down here in the next couple of days.

My county was upgraded to a WSWarning about 10 am (through 7 am Monday). I'm right on the boundary line of warning criteria totals expected, but shockingly have been getting hammered since just before 5. I ran out to the grocery store about 4:30. When I went in, it was just wet pavement and with a few puddles and 34 degrees. Came out not 10 minutes later and it was a wall of white sticking quickly on roads too. Everythings covering up nicely and already looks like about an 1"+ has accumulated. Forecast radars did not look good until about 1am with about a six hr window. Looks like I'm ahead of schedule and might just luck out and bust high! Happy New Year! :sled:

Classic LES set-up:

You're on the board in 2012 though. :guitar:

As of 6am, had about 2" in S. central Mich. (low end of forecast for MBY). At my work office 30 miles west in K'zoo, about 6". Looks really nice and wintery for a change! :santa:

Highest official total I've seen in Lower Michigan is from Gaylord NWS offices up north:

0900 AM HEAVY SNOW ELMIRA 45.07N 84.85W

01/02/2012 M13.0 INCH OTSEGO MI BROADCAST MEDIA

24 HOUR TOTAL THRU 9 AM.
