This rain makes me not want to go out for lunch. Severely lacking on food here though.

Try some school food. You'll reconsider. I'd love to be able to go out for lunch.

I agree with Leesburg, this rain batch seems like it will give areas to the west (me) more rain than earlier anticipated.

I'm probably going to make a delivery driver come out here lol. Good thing for them I tip extremely generously.

Wow, I wonder why? We lost poer earlier this summer because an undergorund cable fried.

Transformer went out I guess. Only 350 out in all DC so bad luck I guess. My AC wasnt working right prior. Hopefully it's related...

I looked and it seems it's an underground equipment failure? we had that at my work neighborhood on Wednesday and it took 12+ hours to get the power fixed. everyone got to go home and I was already home and psyched. then they unveiled the not-yet-launched-but-still-works backup telework server which is offsite and so I had to work anyway.

Ick that would suck. I just went off what was posted to the condo listserve. I called and they said fixed by noon but called again and said by 1. Would think if it was just a transformer it would be back. Maybe I'll go investigate.

When our underground cable fired it was pretty much a 12 hour outage as they first send out someone to identify the problem and then need to get a crew sent to make the repairs. In our case, they had to dig up the cable and put in a splice. The cable is aluminum which is part of the reason it keeps failing. Aluminum has lots more resistance then copper.

Yeah, if you're a duck. Looks pretty wet across the susquehanna river basin this morning. Hopefully, the heaviest rain will nudge eastward to keep them from getting totally hosed.

Katie just posted a pic of flooding in Gettysburg on Facebook.
