Hangin' tough at 21* :weight_lift: Trees are starting to get glazed now so I'm assuming it's mixed sleet and freezing rain. My wifes boss told her that if she doesn't make it in by 10 yesterday was her last day at that job :gun_bandana: but that he would be working from home. I think I may have to head to his house and "explain" to him how rotten his attitude is

That is awful.. :(

Well i have 2.5 inches of snow/sleet/ice since this event started... Perhaps I make it to 3, but overall, not a very overwhelming event. 24F IMBY.

Maybe not a huge event but the roads are rather slick and this type of storm solidifies the snow pack too  We'll get above freezing for a few hours on Wednesday which will help with clean up but then here we go again, back into the cold with another storm to watch. I see the NAM spits out .74 I believe for KMGJ for the next storm which should be all snow with probably pretty good ratios. It's been a great winter so far and it keeps coming.

:snowman:

She made it safely :scooter: Subaru FTW!!

I'm still holding at 25* but it's been raining for almost an hour now. Ice is getting past the 1/4" mark now :yikes:

Great to hear! Hopefully roads are better for her commute home.

23.8/21. Light sleet and frz rain at the moment.

22 and light sleet continues. I see a better batch of precipitation is coming north out of the Mid Hudson Valley.

Strange that the best echoes have actually been from the Susquehanna region, western Catskills north northeast into the Adirondacks. This qpf max was unpredicted by the models. Meanwhile a paltry .25" (qpf) at best here since this began.

27.5 F here, ZR coating everything

A FAIL for this event really.. ....2" of snow/sleet on the ground here as it winds down now. Very little FZRA fell so I guess that is a win. At times the sleet had a little mixed in, but not enough for any ice acretion other than the slightest glaze. 27F out there now.

I've been using a pick on the ice in my stone driveway :arrowhead::axe:

I really hope that we get above freezing long enough tomorrow to work on the ice rink aka my driveway.

I used the snow blower early this morning, then this afternoon scraped the driveway of the ice I could get up then salted it. :axe: Too much work. 31F now.

I put down a base coat of Calcium Chloride last night. And shoveld around 2pm. It came off easy, there was about an inch of top crusted slush. I put down the Calcium Chloride again and have black driveway.

And the hits keep on comming.

I have a feeling that Tuesday may be one if those days when we get to 32 but never go above it.

That feeling worked out, I got to 32 at 6:20pm yesterday and have been sitting there ever since.

Anybody else have a fresh coating of snow hiding the black ice this morning? Should be a fun ride...

No snow here, just some more freezing/plain rain it looks like.
