powderfreak
Low -mid 20's for highs upper 20's torch spots..over fresh snowcover = good times I gotta admire your consistency... been calling for 3-6" for a week now and even if that forecast goes down harder than the Titanic, you never once wavered, haha. CoastalWx
Really - I was just noting that the 850mb temperatures struggling to go below -10C much of that time despite the deep layer appeal. Either way, looks like a big event toward mid month They get down to about -17C or so. Pretty good.
HIPPYVALLEY
Heavy heavy cold. Bring on the pond skating season. It's actually much more conducive to a safe season to get a solid week or more of cold in to lock up the ice before there is snow to insulate and slow the process. Black ice FTW! While not widespread...there will cerainly some areas in SNE that see 3-6 by Monday night..even when many places get 1-3 I'll still consider that a win

Pretty good. http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/ECMWF_12z/ecmwfloop.html that's the -10C isotherm at 850 on D6; it took 6 days to get it that far S - I guess than you were referring to beyond D6?? 40/70 Benchmark
I'd gladly take an inch Sunday, which will not melt under solar radiance that is readily approaching its nadir, to segue into much greater potential as we near mid month and round the bend toward Christmas....reciepe for a nice December. Yea, you would have to get at least outside of 495 and probably just about to ORH CO before it escalated beyond a "who cares"....

Yeah the trough is too far west for us. To be honest with all this potential for a 15 day period if we get 3-6" of snow followed by sleet and rain that's a total epic fail in my book. Excellent, in the spirit of Christmas kindness I'll buy several generators to sell to neighbors at substantial mark-up. At least it would be something exciting to track and observe.
