Lee
A couple steps forward on the GFS at 6Z ... one back at 12Z. Seems to always be the case of late, even compared to the 0Z.

Dr No
Seems to be always the case of late, even compared to the 0Z. I think the OP is on crack with this massive vortex and the extent of the cold in the east (day 4-7 timeframe in general), but we don't have a benchmark to measure against this winter until the clipper event actually happens. WxUSAF
GGEM closer to the NAM than GFS? I'd say so. S/w definitely doesn't get sheared out as much and a distinct surface low (which is still absent on the GFS). Canadian just scoots all the snow through VA and out-to-sea. stormtracker
GGEM NAM vs GFS. Lets say what euro,JMA and Marcus Adams says Yeah, I'm not too bummed about the GGEM not having us in the precip yet. I think overall, its in the NAM camp. If we can get the Euro in there, I'm on board again.

Kevin Druff
GFS has the snow beginning (restarting) here late Saturday, then snowing all the way through Thursday. It's really helpful if you're frequently going to reference "here" to include a location in your profile. Doesn't have to be LAT/LONG coordinates of your house, but a general area!
