I love Kiss. I have all their original albums..had the Kiss dolls, was Kiss for Halloween..it wa a sickness I had growing up

Which member were you for Halloween? I'd guess either Gene or Paul ... likely Gene with the platforms and blood pouring out of your mouth. Yes, I can see a 9-year-old Blizz going up to his neighbor's house in that setup.

For those who still live in the '80s (me)

Bangles FTL. My Mom used to play Simon & Garfunkel records when I was a kid, so I grew up with the original, and had managed to forget about the lame 80's cover.

Look around,

Leaves are brown.

There's a patch of snow on the ground.

I always struck me as odd that they say this like it's a bad thing. Except, I guess, that it's only a "patch" of snow...

for general all season weather songs, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Alarm "Rain in the Summertime"

Back to the topic at hand there is always

Big Country

"Winter Sky"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alWmWJS5MlQ&feature=related

and

Springsteen

"winter song"

[quote] <H1>WINTER SONG

From their northeast source the sour wind roars

Bear gifts fresh from the valley waters

Hollow echoes strip Pennsylvania mountain walls

With their corsets and their old Betsy ruffle

And their slips with pearly white

They stand bulging up against the screen door

A banshee "good night"

Summer's sweet and she brings me water

But give me Winter, that old icy whore

While summer lies meek and follows orders

Winter cries "Me!" and pulls you through the door

The limp milk tramp cries metal flake tears

They drip like honey down soot mama's leg

You lay watchin' them off, eat a hole in his cloth

He'll ask, but he don't beg

Said I'd like to see the mademoiselle

Who holds the keys to all these doors around the waist

And rings the bell

Summer's sweet and she brings me water

But give me Winter, that old icy whore

Summer lies meek and follows orders

Winter cries "Me!" and pulls you through the door

With scufflin' sound the knot voiced matron makes her rounds

Knockin' on each and every door

With a look like white heat, she sways, salty, sweet

And leads me 'cross her Persian floor

She squeezed my hand and before her I stood

I was scared, it was dark but it was good

Summer's sweet and she brings me water

But give me Winter, that old icy whore

While summer lies meek and follows orders

Winter cries "Me!" and pulls you through the door

For other general purpose weather there's always

Big Country

"The Storm"

and of course

"Who'll stop the Rain"

I've linked to Springsteen at foxboro because I was there and there was a huge lighting storm that rolled through a half hour before the show.

I like the EZ-carry handle on his guitar. Like he has to carry it anywhere.

LOL, I met him once in Cali, super nice guy. Truly one of my Guitar Heroes. He played with Zappa for a while and was held in the highest regard by him. As a guitar player I stand in awe of some of the things he can do. Great music.
