I had only seen Josh M's footage of Dorian, which, because he's smart, was shot from the safety of a shelter. Tonight I stumbled across this one, which captures the full fury of the eye wall from this dude's balcony. Easily the most intense conditions I've ever seen on film around the 12 minute mark. That was some pretty wild stuff ... a bit reminiscent of some of Josh M.'s legendary footage from Dorian. Not as intense of course, but it's about as hairy as anything I've seen today.

I'm kind of like Josh at this point where I can't get enough of it. When I measured 56kts down on Long Island for Isaias I was pretty stoked, then I got into the eyewall of Laura a few weeks later. There's really nothing like it, and yes I know I'm insane lol.

Any word from Josh post-landfall? Last I saw from him he was driving through the eyewall of a rapidly intensifying borderline cat 4 on the coast at night. Hope all is well!

Still a good bit of ocean left to cross as well. Should be a pretty hurricane at landfall. Josh is at the forecast landfall to punch the core. Looks like Grace is going to be a sexxy beast afterall.
