  1. Hopefully I can get some of that heavier stuff in here and settle for a while. It’s been a nice event, but underperformer imby. I think it will but you never know in Death Valley East.
  2. Good stuff, @GaWx. Looks like my forecast would be in great shape even with half the activity projected on the guidance, provided Earl meets its potential and becomes our first major. Operational Euro and its ensembles develop multiple areas over the next ten days.
  3. Congrats! See, I'd take that 45 minute train and call it a good event. My rainfall rate is a whopping .05/hr. This must be what Ray feels like when he's huffing exhaust and watching @CoastalWx get smoked.
  4. Send the rain here! In all seriousness though, congrats on finally getting a big rain event. I-84E is closed here because of a jackknifed truck. They always drive to fast in this stuff in that area.
  5. Found a way to fall apart (temporarily) overnight. Can’t make this stuff up lol.
  6. Should be a hurricane tomorrow morning. We’ll see if the alignment of the center will spur RI.
  7. I have .25” on the day. I’d be pretty unhappy if that played out.
  8. Per recon, the center has aligned. The shear hasn’t been enough to stop this progression so I’d be surprised if we didn’t get more short term intensification now that the vortex is fully upright.
  9. Sure enough, dropsonde confirms a pressure of ~991mb. That’s an impressive drop between passes.
  10. 990mb extrapolated? That can’t be right lol. The last VDM was 998mb.
  11. And I think we know we can rule out three areas: your backyard, my backyard, and all of far SW CT
  12. Funny how quiet it is knowing this one is likely staying OTS. After being a middling disappointment for so long, it's actually looking much better and resilient structurally. NHC forecasts it to be our first major of the season.
  13. The melts will be epic in far southern CT if the rest of the state floods and they get a trace
  14. I owe you. Will pay by the end of the week.
  15. Right. Models aren't going to be able to pick out exact locations for something like this. It'll be interesting to see how close we get to maximizing potential. BOX just took their forecast up to 4-6" across much of central and eastern CT. The images out of parts of RI are pretty crazy right now.
  16. That's very helpful, thanks. Looking at the HREF, it's quite aggressive across CT. Even the mean is impressive. It looks like the max is just south of HFD.
