  1. Despite the strong sun the snowpack has held up well today. Temperatures have been steady in the mid 30s with a light breeze coming off the bay .
  2. 6z NAM similar to 0z. NE Md does better this run with a more N-S precip orientation .
  3. EURO has been remarkably consistent in the low pressure placement over the past 4 runs .
  4. For those hoping for flakes to make it north of the Potomac, keep an eye on Dewpoint trends today. Model runs that get snow into the area, such as the FV3, don’t really have a stronger or more NW low. They have less of a dry air push which allows the precip shield to expand to the north. The metros are out of the game for accumulating snow, but there could definitely be mood flakes this evening .
  5. It might not matter, but the 0z Hrrr has temperatures 7f colder than current observations for 9pm in southern Maryland. Temperatures have been holding steady just above 50f since sundown .
  6. Out to hour 30 on the 12z Euro, looks to be better organized and slightly further north .
  7. Figured out why our street has yet to be plowed, multiple trees down across the road. Luckily someone was able to clear it enough to make one lane passable. .
  8. Brother took his drone out yesterday when the sun briefly came out, got some excellent winter scenery! .
  9. Our very sad looking Ravens Tree. Fitting for how the season is ending .
  10. Snow is coming down faster than we can shovel .
  11. Closing in on a foot in southern Anne Arundel .
  12. Power outages are going to be an issue along the bay. In southern Anne arundel we have 5”+ sticking to everything and winds gusting over 25kts. It sounds like a war is going on in the woods behind the house from the number of branches snapping off .
  13. Not quite the GFS, but the UKIE made a sizable shift north from its last run .
  14. Worst flooding in North Beach since Isabel. Looks like high tide has still yet to come .
