    Agreed. Currently surrounded by 4 - 100 year old white oaks near the GW Parkway. Considering taking family to library for when the line passes. My wife thinks I’m overreacting.

    Yes- Ji is right below. In my 15 years in Washington, we’re good at busting low, but in unique/complex setups (like now) we have busted high a few times.

    Just read an interesting observation from Texas/Dallas Fort Worth area where temps are reported lower than initially modeled. They’re receiving frozen where they weren’t expecting it. Not sure what it means for us down range, but someone in here mentioned due to the flat nature of the pattern that anything we see out west may translate downstream.

    If we get even half the storm currently modeled with those post storm temps… DC area will be shutdown for days. Had a similar type setup a few years ago and secondary roads were skating rinks for nearly a week.

    I’m a little less lighter on my feet these days with two little boys in tow but we made their (3 and 1) inaugural unplanned snow run to Canaan with me. Blackwater Falls State Park this morning. 4-6 inches last 24 hours (still falling- IT JUST SNOWS HERE) with another 6-10 expected overnight.
