When Southern states were the first to open up due to incredibly low case loads, folks hit I-95 and I-75 en masse to visit these areas. Even Charleston averages 7 million vacationers a year. I won't lie, coming from Ohio it's odd to live in a place like this

What a misleading post. Florida has had no surge in cases, in fact its numbers inline with Michigan despite having double the population. It'd be even lower if it wasn't a major vacation spot either, too many Northerners bringing their covid with them

Would see these quite a bit when I lived in the Great Lakes. Very cool to be honest, just would get the brief bursts of convection that was almost entirely hail.

Good one. I will say though some of the reports of its climatic impacts are unreal in 1815. Most crops failing in North America, large summer snows, and such a thick layer of particulates in the atmosphere that sunspots were visible to the naked eye. Last years insane wildfires and saharan dust clouds gave us a few days with that sort of tint here in Charleston, it'd be quite the spectacle to see this for a whole year. -

CAPE has came in much higher than originally anticipated. Heck at my house it's currently 90 with a dew of 68. Helicity is alright, but a fairly low LCL, decent shear and tons of energy are letting these things breathe and put down some damn good storms.

Really? Honestly I’d put mask wearing at only about 50% right now at stores and even most waiters/waitresses have quit wearing them. Other than at stores and church services masks have pretty much left the South It’s almost non-existent in Florida at this point with the exception of the theme parks

Shades of 2016 here folks. I believe that was the 9th-10th because the Masters was on, but nearly a foot fell in some locations across the Toledo area. April 20th getting this much snow is cool, but not completely unheard of.

Fauci needs to be fired because he's been a walking contradiction. The NWS doesn't say head to the basement for some tornadoes, they say take cover and head for an interior room for all tornadoes. This guy needs a lesson from President Biden, simple and consistent messaging about this virus.
