  1. And to think this is the slow one. I wouldn’t be shocked tonight to see storm motions at 60+
  2. Nail on the head, dews are approaching 70° in Memphis & Jackson already. Once that cap breaks tonight, holy smokes. So many ingredients in place for long track twisters tonight
  3. Seems like more of a linear event but we’ll see. That jet is going to absolutely be hauling the mail tomorrow night though
  4. Definitely some severe chances on the horizon
  5. Damn, I didn't know my chances could get any lower to be honest here...
  6. Man a week straight of 70°/50° incoming? Sweet Jesus that's perfection
  7. Definitely looks like a legit slug of cold across the Eastern US next week. 540 line dropping all the way to the TN/NC southern borders, and definite chances for lows in the teens west of Lake Michigan next week. Winter is definitely coming
  8. Have a week of meetings next Monday across our Michigan operations. It literally always snows when I visit during the cold season so I expect to some flurries, especially when I’m in Muskegon for a couple of days
  9. There's always that one maple that hangs on later than the others
  10. I'm not sure what you do for work but remote work is growing in acceptance with time. Still though, my company is pretty sold on the hybrid model so I doubt I get that chance.
  11. Would be worse if I didn't have a pool or ocean close by. I'm outside year round now and it's noticeable how much healthier my lifestyle is regularly going outside for walks and runs, kayaking around the marshes, walking while golfing, and going to ocean/pool from mid April through mid October. Harder to live an active lifestyle with the harsher weather of the Midwest in my opinion unless it's a place that has a hard winter so I can ski and play pond hockey. With that being said, I was moved to a promotion down here so I do not have the same disdain for Northern climates as my other fellow transplants. In fact if I had a choice and was allowed to go fully remote, I'd move to Traverse City.
  12. Haha I like peeking in to see your storms and massive seasonal swings as I only have the occasional severe storm or hurricane to watch around here. I do have a crazy statistic for you guys here, today is on track to be the first time my town fails to hit 70° in 195 days. I will say that's the thing I absolutely love about this climate, Mothers Day thru mid September is pretty rough but everything else is incredibly nice and mild. Problem is while it's nice to live in, from a weather forecasting perspective it's very boring
  13. How about this for a stat. Today is on track to be the first time my town fails to hit 70 in 195 days
  14. Wow. I have to admit, the cold surge is impressive. I'm not sure if Charlotte even breaks 50 tomorrow down here
  15. Damn, currently basically on radar. Tough to see anything
  16. Some chances upcoming this week. Instability is pretty measly though
  17. I’m shocked there isn’t more discussion on here. Some big dog twisters tonight south of St Louis
  18. If these things stay discrete for a little while before lining up, tomorrow is going to be very interesting. Other than maybe a little more sunshine, you've got a recipe that'd make Bobby Flay jealous tomorrow. LCL's crazy low, tons of bulk shear, high SRH, and ample CAPE. I'd go MDT if I were the SPC though, ample instability is a solid guarantee of a widespread outbreak regardless of what the storm mode will be
  19. You’ll know Saturday night/Sunday morning
  20. If only Springfield weren't 15 hours away...
  21. Damn. Literally half of my high here. Love the hard transition season in this country
