  1. We had that 4 incher on 7/3, that inflated our totals
  2. Yep, what looks great (or bad) in October and November doesn't always carry through to Dec-Mar. Last few years seemed to have a development that came out of nowhere and wrecked our winter (last year the PV and also the warm water NE of australia which kept the MJO in 4-5-6)
  3. Yep big ol torch coming this winter after a cold November. It'll be interesting to see if the usual suspects go cold and snowy for a 3rd yr in a row....
  4. my area looked like Phoenix 6/24...since then we've had close to 9 inches of rain-looks like Ireland now.
  5. I'm 5 miles from there-yeah legit-you could hear it roaring over night.
  6. about .75 final here-that feeder band at the end delivered some good squalls, before that we had about .05
  7. Rain shield really worked west-almost out to State College. Alot of model runs were too far east.
  8. A landfalling TS in NJ in July...mark that one down folks! A rare event in any month
  9. Almost nothing here-but the band is approaching so maybe we'll get something. Some breezy conditions too, but by and large, the general public is saying "what storm" (we are under a Tropical storm warning here)
  10. that firehose will shift north and give eastern sections some rains, but nothing crazy an inch or less....big prize went to Eastern PA/NJ
  11. looks like a non event out here for rainfall....
  12. someone noted yesterday the storm would be ventilated by the incoming trough over the OV. Maybe that's the case for strengthening despite it being over borderline water temps
  13. folks on the east side of the storm (LI/CT) are going to get some good winds later
  14. had a quick shower here-fine droplets which are indicative of a tropical system
  15. Doesnt look like the center is headed inland either...models yesterday had it over S NJ or even near philly
  16. A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued from Cape May New Jersey northward to Watch Hill, Rhode Island, including Long Island and Long Island Sound.
  17. that would give us very little rain I would think
  18. often as these systems move north into our latitude, the big rains shift to the north and western side of the low. With that said, the 12z Canadian shows what you're talking about and keeps the convection off to the east
  19. anyone have access to the hurricane models? If so pls post
