  1. I might have to wait until the morning....it always seems like it takes longer than expected down here. I hope I am wrong
  2. I will wait to see what direction Covid decides to take before I make a decision on whether my children get the vaccine. However, at this point I would feel safer having them get this vaccine than I would taking them to eat at McDonalds everyweek or feeding them hormone enhanced Franken meats. The longterm effects on our population being fed the food we are today has not yet been studied and highly questionable if we really want to go down that road.....
  3. trying hard to make a run at 5 straight days of 90+, currently 89.2/72....ready for open windows!
  4. Going to be some heavy rainfall with what looks to be slow movers....we had a 5 minute downpour yesterday that dropped almost a tenth of an inch. Raindrops looked like they were the size of ping pong balls.
  5. 87.3/74.4 out there right now....more sun than clouds at the moment. Trying to make a run at 4 days in a row of 90s. 91.0, 93.4, 94.5 for the last 3 days
  6. Yup, from about 1030 am on....pool temp is 80⁰ right now, no solar cover and no heater used
  7. Storms are trying now, but the heat damage is done...
  8. 93.2⁰ so far here....with the humidity added today, it is a sauna out there
  9. 91⁰ and 93.4⁰ the past two days....this morning was the warmest of the past 3, so I could see it pushing well into the 90s today regardless of what OKX is forecasting
  10. 93.4 for the high, already down to 72....it is muggy though, first night it has felt like this, this year
  11. 92 here, at least there is a breeze....
  12. You are more than welcome to stop by! Kids can swim and we can chat weather and drink some cold adult beverages. Water is still chilly for me, but the kids spent most of the day swimming yesterday. The chilly nights haven't helped warming it...it actually dipped to 58⁰ this morning
  13. 85/66 at 10:29, going to be a hot one. Softball game at 1 is going to be fun.....
  14. Ha, gotta train those chickens! I have a plethora of ticks too.
  15. The chickens can hang out in the garden, I need some bugs thinned out....
  16. We swim....89.3⁰ outside, 73⁰ in the pool
  17. Missed last week with the convection too....what is this place? Lol, unless there are tornadoes involved, we get nothing.
  18. Sadly that is the first thing I thought of when I read that....The mind set of some people that think Covid killed old people that were going to die anyway is just horrible. My grandmother is 84, multiple comorbidities, lost her husband a few years back and lives by herself. She stayed safe and got the vaccine so she could see her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She wasn't/isn't ready to go. But most likely would have perished if she contracted covid...sorry for the rant, should be in the banter thread. Carry on.... Where are the storms down here!?!? Sun is out, 80/66 atm
  19. Saturday high of 49 and yesterday 50.....2.86" of rain for the final tally Now lets bring on summer, I have a swimming pool that is a nice tint of teal and 59° that needs some assistance
  20. 89.2° for the high today, already down to 73....fans going, no A/C here
  21. 86.2⁰/62⁰, feels like summer out there today Have been "steined" here for a while now, dry as a bone out there
  22. I have some extra KN95 masks laying around and tried one on while I was mowing, what a difference it made...I would normally wake up the next day with a headache, stuffynose, cough. The morning after wearing the mask, absolutely nothing....My soil is quite dusty/sandy and with all of this Steining going on, mowing has become quite the dust bowl.
  23. Played softball earlier during a pretty decent pulse storm. Quite a bit of lighting with a decent down pour. Very localized though, not a drop at home, 5 miles away...
  24. On day 2, my fever never really went above 100, but I felt like I had the flu. Headache, body aches, general garbage that makes you not want to leave the bed. Then 24 hours later, a round of chills in the middle of the night, woke up on the morning with no fever, felt almost 100% besides fatigue. But that was replaced with a horribly swollen arm, looked like there was a baseball underneath my arm. Couldn't move it and it was quite painful. I walked around yesterday like I had a broken arm, couldn't move it with out extreme pain. So weird, it definitely triggered a response from my lymph node under my arm. This morning, almost 80% better. My first shot made me tired for a few days and gave me a pretty intense headache for 6 hours.
