  1. Looks great....2.7" so far with cotton balls falling right now
  2. Small weenie band developing from Danbury through Southbury, let's see if it expands or moves out, otherwise 3-4 inch totals should do it here
  3. No complaints here...looks great, blizzards are fun but there is something to watching heavy snow fall with no wind
  4. Just measured 2 inches, super fluffy stuff...27.7⁰ under a quarter mile visibility, radar returns aren't that impressive though
  5. 1 inch so far here in Southbury, temp down to 27.3⁰....visibility has been below a half mile for the past hour
  6. Painfully close, probably stays just south of here....
  7. And just like that, moderate snow with everything coated...29.3⁰
  8. Yeah, my wife gives me that look quite a bit, lol....flakes just started here, looks like the line of haves and have nots has developed and I am just north of it, oh well on to next week. 2-4 is just fine!
  9. 24.3/17 atm with heavy cloud cover...waiting for the first flakes Expecting 2-4 inches here, hoping to bust too low
  10. Somehow Northern New Haven County has a winter storm warning, I bet that ends up an advisory for the late afternoon update....thinking 2-4" here, maybe 4-6 along the coastline, and easterward. If we bump things up or end up under some crazy band then all bets are off, other wise seems a good bet to shave a bit off the original thinking. Any accumulating snow is great and it will be enjoyed by many.
  11. Thanks Covid.....It really has, led to some surprises though, the postive busts are always better than the rug getting pulled out though
  12. It is an interesting snow retention study here, afternoons are warmer with a property that is direct south facing. hit 41 the past 2 days. But we radiate like crazy at night, mid teens the past 3 nights. The other side of our house gets very little sunshine, so very little has melted. already 35° here, it is going to be an amazing day!
  13. yup, looks good...we have lost roughly 6 inches to melting here so far, so it will be a great refresher. Then tack on more next week, then it looks like it all freezes solid
  14. 3k looks better too, widespread 6-10 with a foot plus out towards SE Mass on the 12k
  15. It's almost like the computers like to toy with our emotions, every storm needs to have some drama added. Good to see this one come back NW, again....
  16. Gfs will continue to bump NW right up until game time, even if everything goes SE...Great evening for a stroll!
  17. 18z reggie didn't sip the juice that the Nam and RPM seemed to have done....actually a bit SE from 12z
  18. interesting, nothing here....just the coastline atm. 3k Kutchie with a 19 burger over the area, more than the last storm, obviously not happening like that, but seems like things continue to amp up as we move closer to showtime
  19. Yup, conservative is the best approach with a system that keeps moving around like this. Once the crazy shifts stop, something more accurate can be forecasted. I am thinking low end here is 2 inches and the high end would be 10"....so 50 hours out 2-10 inches would be the forecast, lol
  20. looks great, quite a NW bump on the Reggie too...looks like 6-8 out here too
  21. The Nams give my area 10-12 inches with some fluff factor added in....one can wish, but realistically this is a 6-10 inch storm back here if the Nam is correct
  22. sure does, nice burst out there right now. Looks like a quick 0.1 to 0.2" before it ends....27.3° atm
  23. It did hit 41° here, felt great and makes sledding with the kids more enjoyable when you are not frozen...
  24. I got into the car yesterday, it was actually warm inside with the sun shining, seems a bit early for that....
  25. and if we have a very cold and snowy February, I am ok with March being a torch for a change...
