  1. 22.5° of fake this morning....feels real when taking the dog out before the sun rises
  2. 22.6°, ground frozen solid....testing out the new wood stove insert the past 2 nights, still 61 to 63 degrees in the house despite not reloading past midnight. Haven't used an mL of oil yet
  3. I do, my heating bill hurts from it...32.5⁰ now, we hit 28.2⁰ this morning, at this rate we will hit that by midnight
  4. What a pit here, already down to 35.4⁰....
  5. There are a few out there at the moment, down to 37.6⁰
  6. Growing season is coming to an end tonight. Picked the rest of the green tomatoes, cut all of the remaining flowers to enjoy inside. Last week we hit 31.5 with some ice on the normal items, but very little died, even the tomato plants survived. Tonight has a different feel to it, already down to 40.6°.
  7. Crazy...39.5⁰ this morning, might as well hit the beach today
  8. It was for like 15 minutes....it ended up a double too, I have never seen a rainbow so vivid, must have been the time of day
  9. Pretty nice rainbow a little bit ago....nice to see the sun at least
  10. Still some green but we are catching up....leaf cleanup next week it seems Wife gave birth Labor day weekend, beautiful baby girl....
  11. 31.5⁰ this morning should do the trick, sun is out for now, so still a nice morning before the rain comes in....
  12. fine, then on the other hand, hopefully it gets it out of its system before winter....lol
  13. hopefully we don't waste this kind of storm, this early on....Would be nice if this was December or January
  14. Just took this, no filter...look at the green grass
  15. 70/62 here....warmer over here, lol. Trees are finally starting to change here, just in time for the rain and wind to knock them all off. Last mow of the season yesterday, hopefully. The grass is still quite green in the sunny areas.
  16. Thankfully no snow to deal with here, there would be meltdowns everywhere if this was January.....
  17. It ended up being a great garden season despite the excessive rainfall. Definitely a lot of work, but well worth it. I have 3 kids that walk through and eat all of the fresh greens, all season long.....
  18. What season is it? Just picked this....
  19. Sorry to hear about Cameron....He honestly was not my favorite, but they gave me the best deal for a sunpower install I could negotiate from 3 other installers....Their installation team was great, Cameron not so much....
  20. 46 for the low, nice to see the sun again this morning.....looks like next week is a washout
  21. Yes, we have central air....I do have room to add 5 panels to my solar system, so that can be upgraded down the road
  22. My panels were installed the end of July, I finally got my first $9 electric bill this past month, with a 236 kwh banked...it is a great feeling, lol. I am going to dig some more on brand names and companies that install them. My chimney flue is also degrading and needs to be replaced, so between that and the oil tank, I am already $5-6 grand into "fixing" the oil system that is already 14 years old.
  23. It is definitely expensive, would love to have it installed over any other system, just not in the budget at the moment. We are getting a Regency i2450, my wife liked the look of something more traditional rather than having something flush mounted...
  24. I got a quote from Dandelion months back at close to 30 grand, tax rebate helps but it is still a large chunk of change on top of the solar/roof we had installed this year. They were also running 6-8 months behind at that point, so who knows where they are right now....There is a company in Eastern CT that installs geothermal, I may reach out to them and get a quote. I have a company giving me a quote for a Bosch modulating heat pump system next month. I honestly have no clue how much a system like that runs for my size house.
