  1. Just went for a hike and got stuck in the transition and ended up walking back in the rain. Great sights before hand though... We are actually at the lowest temp since the precip started and continues to drop with the rain...down to 32.7⁰ Measured about 2" on non paved surfaces, 1.25" on the driveway. Not too bad...
  2. Down to 33.6⁰, everything is accumulating now, even at 175 ft...current look in the neighborhood
  3. Temp stabilized right around 34, heavy snow continues with a half inch new on non paved surfaces. Even the road and driveway have started to accumulate.
  4. Lol, visibility is under a quarter mile now...definitely snowing harder than what the radar is showing
  5. Heavy snow now, temp down almost 4 degrees, 34.7⁰....slush starting to accumulate even here at 175 ft
  6. varying rates of snow, pillows coming out of the sky now, 36.3 now
  7. came in like a mini-wall here, wind blowing too....impressive. Temperature peaked at 38.5, dropping now. I will have to take a ride up the hill and see how much colder it is there. 38.0/28 atm
  8. Temp is actually skyrocketing here in the valley, already 36⁰...probably white rain when all is said and done
  9. This has been a great stretch, I have grass showing on my south facing hill, but a 7 inch glacier elsewhere. I radiate so well at night, any melting so far has just become a more solid block of ice. Should be a great mud season...
  10. The massive snow squall warnings across PA are impressive, dynamics for the win?
  11. Already 28⁰ off of a low of 8.8⁰, might be the coldest temperature until next winter...sun feels nice this morning despite the cold temps
  12. 4.0 snowfall total for the storm 44.5" for the season Snowed off and on all day again, nothing stuck except on shaded, snow covered areas
  13. 3.1" with this last band already putting down a solid 0.1" as the sun fades away...
  14. 0.8" overnight, event total 2.3" so far. Looks wintry, still snowing lightly
  15. 1.2", heaviest snow of the day so far....actually hear a few sleet pellets, temp continues to slowly drop, down to 24.5⁰
  16. 0.9", almost there to the first inch....heavy snow with low visibility but the snow growth is kinda of terrible now, sand like in nature...temp down to 24.8°
  17. 0.7" down here in NW Southbury, temp down to 25.2⁰...easily moderate snow now falling, great growth
  18. Moderate snow here, 25.7⁰ but melting on paved surfaces...that strong sun this time of the year already...
  19. Sun is poking out now... 0.2" of snow this morning, 24.6⁰
  20. what a difference 50-100 miles will make with this....sadly that band won't make it up here
  21. Well, if the Euro is correct...then this is nothing more than an advisory event that melts by Friday noon. Something to add to our seasonal tallies, but who knows. Maybe the GFS is right, guess we will find out Friday morning
  22. Euro says, congrats central Jersey
  23. I get it, some are ready for spring....after yesterday's 52 with sun, I am ready for it. But lets be realistic, spring isn't coming in February this year, so lets enjoy seeing snow fall. Even 2-4 inches would be nice to cover the mangled glacier. We have a shot at 6+ here, looks great!
  24. 51⁰ with beautiful sunshine.....the pack did well up until an hour ago, I measured between 6 and 8 inches throughout the yard. But now it is probably melting at 2 inches an hour
  25. Torch day here in the valley, 39.4⁰ atm...Neighbor let us use their hill for some sledding. They get like 1 hour of full sun, the snow was well over 12 inches deep still...Great sledding spot
