  1. Somehow Northern New Haven County has a winter storm warning, I bet that ends up an advisory for the late afternoon update....thinking 2-4" here, maybe 4-6 along the coastline, and easterward. If we bump things up or end up under some crazy band then all bets are off, other wise seems a good bet to shave a bit off the original thinking. Any accumulating snow is great and it will be enjoyed by many.
  2. Thanks Covid.....It really has, led to some surprises though, the postive busts are always better than the rug getting pulled out though
  3. It is an interesting snow retention study here, afternoons are warmer with a property that is direct south facing. hit 41 the past 2 days. But we radiate like crazy at night, mid teens the past 3 nights. The other side of our house gets very little sunshine, so very little has melted. already 35° here, it is going to be an amazing day!
  4. yup, looks good...we have lost roughly 6 inches to melting here so far, so it will be a great refresher. Then tack on more next week, then it looks like it all freezes solid
  5. 3k looks better too, widespread 6-10 with a foot plus out towards SE Mass on the 12k
  6. It's almost like the computers like to toy with our emotions, every storm needs to have some drama added. Good to see this one come back NW, again....
  7. Gfs will continue to bump NW right up until game time, even if everything goes SE...Great evening for a stroll!
  8. 18z reggie didn't sip the juice that the Nam and RPM seemed to have done....actually a bit SE from 12z
  9. interesting, nothing here....just the coastline atm. 3k Kutchie with a 19 burger over the area, more than the last storm, obviously not happening like that, but seems like things continue to amp up as we move closer to showtime
  10. Yup, conservative is the best approach with a system that keeps moving around like this. Once the crazy shifts stop, something more accurate can be forecasted. I am thinking low end here is 2 inches and the high end would be 10"....so 50 hours out 2-10 inches would be the forecast, lol
  11. looks great, quite a NW bump on the Reggie too...looks like 6-8 out here too
  12. The Nams give my area 10-12 inches with some fluff factor added in....one can wish, but realistically this is a 6-10 inch storm back here if the Nam is correct
  13. sure does, nice burst out there right now. Looks like a quick 0.1 to 0.2" before it ends....27.3° atm
  14. It did hit 41° here, felt great and makes sledding with the kids more enjoyable when you are not frozen...
  15. I got into the car yesterday, it was actually warm inside with the sun shining, seems a bit early for that....
  16. and if we have a very cold and snowy February, I am ok with March being a torch for a change...
  17. I do like where we stand. I am at 32.4" for the season, not exactly sure what my seasonal average is here, 40-50"? But we should be able to at least pull seasonal averages at least. The pack has leveled off to about 10 inches and its pretty solid as well.
  18. Watch this thing trend so far north and west most of SNE ends up raining and it's congrats NNE...nice to see the cutter idea sort of go away next week, hopefully some snow instead of just cold and dry
  19. sure does....I have been watching an episode or 2 of Life Below Zero every night....wait until the artic unloads, it will look and feel like it for a bit
  20. Almost moderate snow falling now...impressive, days and days
  21. Up to 16" now, still snowing lighty. It actually snowed nicely yesterday afternoon, but it was all white rain with temps sitting at 34⁰
  22. Just had a nice burst of snow pull through, everything covered that was cleared....just had a plow go by, 28°
  23. Between 15 and 16 inches, so we will call it 15.5". It's actually drizzling right now and 33.3⁰, yuck
  24. I have a friend just south of Hackettstown, in Jersey, she just texted me that she has 26" and was still snowing like crazy
  25. I have a ruler on my deck, 2 feet from my house, south facing so there is a shadow effect with the NE wind...the ruler is just about covered and still snowing like crazy
