38.5 was the low here....not bad for June 4th

Just got back from Hatteras last night...dewpoints were in the mid to upper 70s with highs in the mid 80s for most of the time. It is great for a beach vacation, but I will take this morning's weather the rest of the summer while I am not on vacation, so refreshing!

The storms down hear in the OBX have been producing lightning since 5 pm this afternoon and have not stopped...just unreal weather right now!

It seems like despite the historical appeal of all of this, we have become almost immune to all of these headlines since it seems like something historical is happening every week anymore...thank you climate change. Globally, between heat, flooding, typhoons/hurricanes, and other weather related phenomenon history is rewriting itself on a daily basis rather than ever once in a while.

74/69 here, quite soupy...sun has been in and out too which aids in the steamy level...ready for some cooler/drier air. Way too early for this stuff...

Nothing wrong with Newtown! Besides the taxes and the drive to get here, on a Friday.....Clouding up nicely now, but the air has that summer smell to it along with a nice breeze.

Going to push 80 here today it seems, 75 already with dewpoint hovering around 60. Feels like early summer!

49° looks like all we could do for today.....is May over yet? 2 weeks from now I will be in Hatteras, today's water temp at the Frisco Pier is supposedly 71°, its going to feel like the Southern Caribbean after this month....

I leave for vacation the last week of the month, I totally expect that ridge to build here by then. In the mean time we will deal with cut off after cutoff, lol...

The 24 hr maps on TT of the EURO have very little detail, but they didn't look so "hot" themselves. Next week not looking very good it seems...

The heat has kicked on 3 straight days now....By May 1st I refuse! The sun alone this time of year warms the house by 5 degrees.

1.10" so far, that batch to the south does not look like it is shifting eastward.... Did not take long for the yard to become a pond again.

All the early bulbs are blooming well, last year very little...Even the grass has a deep green look to it, even for mid April. Probably has something to do with all of the rain too...I feel like we were in a 4 year year drought up until last July. Definitely going to be a muggy Spring/Summer if things dont dry out quickly.
