    Trending or a head fake? It feels like the next 2-3 weeks is going to be either all or nothing. Hope we go on one of those hot streaks for once....

    We realistically have 4 weeks.....mid February, its already January 11th, time is flying. We get bigger systems in February and March and are always welcome....but hours of light snow, during the daytime are much different now than on say February 15th. My Greenhouse proves that year after year

    Yeah, lets recover the mud and mess at least for a few more weeks, sun angle season is quickly approaching....much rather have these events now than later on when they just melt by noon

    and of course, it gets going once it is offshore, same story just a different year it seems.....I am sure it will do something down the line to screw up the next one, not help it

    GFS would be like 18-24 hrs of light snow...at least it is mostly at night, otherwise it would be mostly white rain. I am ok with snow in the air in January, during winter...if this was late February or March, no thanks just give me some warm sun

    When was the last time we saw a system that wasn't flying 1000 mph off the coast? Feels like this one might be big for someone, who? tbd

    Stepping back from the OP GFs, I think we all sort of know that something this complicated isnt going to be figured out until inside of 3-5 days. This is not a system that the models see 10 days out and more or less holds serve until game time, I feel like we havent had one of those in forever anyway. Odds are it doesn't happen, but at least we have something to track/chat about and we even have cold air to work with. Something that has been almost impossible for years.

    If the GFS somehow found a nut this one time, the next 10 days worth of snowfall would beat any of the last 4 season's snowfall totals....perspective I guess at this point

    So much chaos, reminds me of what our 'good' patterns have looked like over the past few years. In the end energy flying all around, but in the end nothing really develops until its well off shore or up into Nova Scotia...hope this time is different

    Playing....should be a 35 and over pickup league, but usually some younger guys filter in, I will be 43. Its a good run either way, much better way to get a workout in. Two hrs of pickup ball, just like it was in the old days, lol

    It was 30⁰ here, had basketball at 6:45...roads were a sheet of ice, rain clearly washed all the salt off and the road crews were all sleeping. Still 32.2⁰ here at my house, really need some warm air to thaw the glacier in my yard, taking the dog out becomes quite the adventure, might need some ice skates soon.

    I think I joked about that recently....Someone in the SE is going to get a snowstorm, SNE remains to be seen. Happy for them, but seriously where are our crumbs?

    Yeah, this year is definitely not the norm....I would typically either have a mud mess or a brown glacier by now

    47⁰ here, shady spots still have around 2 inches....full coverage otherwise, tomorrow should do it though, anything with sun will be swiss cheese. It is already down to 27, so that should help freeze it solid abit. We have had 3+ inches of coverage since the 26th, can't complain about that, especially in my part of SNE.

    Oh I am actually good....this is the first winter in 5 years that has actually felt like winter, so if it ended today, I would be just fine. And 40 degrees and a bit of sun felt great today, I definitely won't complain when it snows again, but the tenure of this season has definitely been better than recent years, at least around here.

    Has that feeling....I'm sure it will snow again, but man it has that feeling of "what could have been" badly timed phases that result in not much of anything for SNE. We shall see, either the models have gotten better at not showing storms in the long range or we are going to be having near misses for the next 6 weeks, before the car's interior starts roasting in the mid day sun....

    On the other hand, if this pattern coming up is nothing more than another tease, I am ok with a really early spring....just got my first seed catalog in the mail and the boys start indoor baseball this weekend, so I could go either way.

    Right? Hopefully we can have a nice mid winter run for once. Not complaining though, despite the overall lack of snow, it has felt like winter for a change. Now lets gets some bigger systems and actually get an average winter for a change

    GFS at hr 234 would probably send many to the edge....season after season and hearing about the great period for coastal development coming up and we end up with the GFS, 9 days from now....ooph
