  1. 3.1" with this last band already putting down a solid 0.1" as the sun fades away...
  2. 0.8" overnight, event total 2.3" so far. Looks wintry, still snowing lightly
  3. 1.2", heaviest snow of the day so far....actually hear a few sleet pellets, temp continues to slowly drop, down to 24.5⁰
  4. 0.9", almost there to the first inch....heavy snow with low visibility but the snow growth is kinda of terrible now, sand like in nature...temp down to 24.8°
  5. 0.7" down here in NW Southbury, temp down to 25.2⁰...easily moderate snow now falling, great growth
  6. Moderate snow here, 25.7⁰ but melting on paved surfaces...that strong sun this time of the year already...
  7. Sun is poking out now... 0.2" of snow this morning, 24.6⁰
  8. what a difference 50-100 miles will make with this....sadly that band won't make it up here
  9. Well, if the Euro is correct...then this is nothing more than an advisory event that melts by Friday noon. Something to add to our seasonal tallies, but who knows. Maybe the GFS is right, guess we will find out Friday morning
  10. Euro says, congrats central Jersey
  11. I get it, some are ready for spring....after yesterday's 52 with sun, I am ready for it. But lets be realistic, spring isn't coming in February this year, so lets enjoy seeing snow fall. Even 2-4 inches would be nice to cover the mangled glacier. We have a shot at 6+ here, looks great!
  12. 51⁰ with beautiful sunshine.....the pack did well up until an hour ago, I measured between 6 and 8 inches throughout the yard. But now it is probably melting at 2 inches an hour
  13. Torch day here in the valley, 39.4⁰ atm...Neighbor let us use their hill for some sledding. They get like 1 hour of full sun, the snow was well over 12 inches deep still...Great sledding spot
  14. how does it look out here? Seems borderline on other guidance right now....
  15. We might be seeing our 2 week winter coming to an end....It has been a nice run, but bring on Spring
  16. Goofus 16 is really warm, rains almost to CNE, doesn't that model run too cold? Yikes....
  17. As a kid, I loved it...As a parent it is different, my kids will enjoy it either way, just takes some years off my life worrying. My brother almost died when he was 6 years old, slipping on ice, going down a hill and hitting a tree head first. So ice always concerns me....
  18. Nope, assume it's wrong at this point...more sleet? Not sure how my 175 foot elevation in this valley is going to fair. Still a solid 10-12 inch pack, kids are still enjoying it, but ice will make it not so safe for them. Probably prefer the sleet option...
  19. Lovely, at least the pack will have some protection...
  20. yup, so does the Reggie, havent seen the CMC yet, but I would assume it follows
  21. at 96 hours it is in the mid teens here and still dropping with heavy precip....yikes Then drops below zero afterwards to solidify everything, geeze
  22. so my 12 inch snow pack will have almost an inch of frozen material added to it....should be quite the glacier
  23. Reggie went warm at 12z, looks like the GFS is following...might end up just being a cold rain by the time we get to Tuesday, the arctic air never makes it here. Might have something to do with Sunday completely disappearing?
  24. That overrunning is starting to look a bit interesting, little to no storm Sunday, just light frozen precip all day Monday, followed by a snowstorm on Tuesday
  25. GFS wants to snizzle from Sunday morning until the big storm on Tuesday...interesting look
