    Hope for 6 at this point...I think our area needs to wait until at least the Nam is dumping feet to our south to know which way this might go and hopefully the look that NYC and points south has right now shifts enough north to hit us, because we all know what will happen if it does not....2015 all over again

    we need to come to the realization that there will not be a JP for us here.....I think in the end, anything over 6 inches will be a win for us....But then again we were the JP region on the models for this last system and we know how that worked out

    I have seen this in the past on the ensembles and in the end it never really ends up looking like that. If it does, it isn't really that extreme. I guess the devil is in the details, but I don't think anyone would be disappointed with that look, unless you are looking to score the biggest accumulations.

    yup....second biggest storm of the season by Feb...it will be washed away after the massive cutter whether it was 12 inches or 5 anyway

    unreal watching some of these....bought NAKD weeks back with JAGX.....penny stocks, 0.34 and 0.81....where did NAKD come from!?!?!

    2.0" in west Southbury....still a few weenie flakes falling out there. Now keep the sun away today so we can keep some snow on the ground before tomorrow

    still bouncing back and forth which is fine at this time frame...assume a push to the south is coming in the next 24 hours

    Just came in, 1.1" on the board and 27.8°...hope to wake up to an additional inch or so...looks nice out, almost to the point of not seeing grass

    I am not one to call a bust early, but out here we should have picked up a good 2 inches in that initial burst, we did not....lots of ground to makeup here, hoping I am apologizing later for crying wolf...we shall see

    the Euro at 12z had almost 4 inches here....what a fail. On thing I have noticed, anytime I have been on the edge, meaning within maybe 15-20 miles of the cutoff like less than 1 inch, then in reality that is what ends up occuring....details it seems

    and all will be forgotten if we somehow get January and Februarys averages combined in February this year....

    what a shredded mess out this way, hopefully we get some Nam like backbuilding later this evening...eyeballing a half inch here, temp is hanging around 27.9°, so not melting for a bit...every storm so far this year has been less than modeled and forecasted

    Finally some moderate snow...took a while, but seems like it will end up more showery in nature shortly..

    I looked at the soundings and didn't see anything either, it warming just above 850, but never got too warm....could just be the model seeing spotty, lighter precip.

    some warm air aloft pushing in and not having strong enough rates leads to quicker changeover than forecasted or even a changeover where it wasn't forecasted....just saying something to watch, not saying that it is going to happen.

    Hrrr is really aggressive with the changeover to sleet and freezing rain heading northeast rather quickly...wonder if this turns into an hour or 2 burst of snow that changes over and we end up with more of a coating to and inch with sleet and freezing rain. Especially for us here in CT...

    One tick away from engulfing the entire state in that purple...then put a thin layer of ice on top to protect it from the 40 on Wednesday afternoon.

    What are we thinking around here? 1-3"? I worry it turns to sleet or freezing rain earlier than forecasted around here.....
